Go on, I dare you!

Go to your fridge now and take a picture of the contents.
You can tell a lot about a person from their fridge, they say.
Mine might say that I like Greek yogurt, oh and the occasional Pimm’s.

Your jug matches my pie dish, Baggs

lemongrove Sun 22-Nov-20 20:42:45

Yes, I have some pieces too, Evesham Vale or Evesham Gold,
Including the jug ( used only for custard).

Puzzler61 Sun 22-Nov-20 21:08:30

Oh it’s lovely. I was born in Worcester and I believe it’s Evesham Gold if it has a gold rim and Evesham Vale Green if it has a green rim. ‘Gold’ was the original but couldn’t go in a microwave or dishwasher when they came along, so the ‘Vale Green’ rim was created.

I couldn’t quite make out which one it was in the pic Puzzler ( baggs will no doubt tell us.)?
I have some of both kinds....because I like all of them.

MawBe Sun 22-Nov-20 21:20:28

I thought it was Worcester Autumn fruits.
I had the teaset and gave it away when I realised I had 3 teasers, none of which I use.
Wish I hadn’t though ???

MawBe Sun 22-Nov-20 21:21:44

Or is it called Evesham - thinking it over.

lemongrove Sun 22-Nov-20 21:23:23

I would like a teaser Maw send him to me?

lemongrove Sun 22-Nov-20 21:24:02

It would still leave you with two!

Can’t photo my fridge I’m not at home. At all times it would contain white wine. Greek yoghurt. Hummus. Some vegetables and eggs.
Anything else would be a bonus !

Auntieflo Sun 22-Nov-20 22:09:45

Missfoodlove, hope the lamb was good, and I like the sound of your cake!
Baggs our fridge must be 30 years old. It was my mother's. She wanted an under the counter one, and we could do with a taller one. It had served us so well. I would like a bigger one though.

Mine!

Baggs Mon 23-Nov-20 20:09:29

The jug is Royal Worcester Evesham Gold. I have some other bits (cups, mugs, teapot) from that range as well, though rather fewer than I used to have. Cough. And I got a whole pile of the Evesham Green plates, soup plates and cereal bowls from a second hand shop a year or so ago. Always liked thedesign from when I first came across it in egg coddlers that someone had whom I used to babysit for when I was a student. Never felt the need for egg coddlers though.

MawBe Mon 23-Nov-20 22:11:08

I use my egg coddlers regularly - and they’re Worcester Evesham too

I’m quite ashamed to show the state of my fridge. Maybe I should sort it out.?

Iam64 Tue 24-Nov-20 08:30:37

My excuse is the lack of technical skills to post a photograph here. The truth is - my fridge is in need of a good sort out.

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 24-Nov-20 08:39:49

My fridge this morning.

Callistemon Tue 24-Nov-20 10:34:38

My mother used to coddle eggs for me wen I was very young but I've never coddled an egg in my life!

dragonfly46 Tue 24-Nov-20 11:53:40

This is the after (I cleaned it out and threw away the stuff which was more than 5 years old) picture of my fridge!

Willow500 Tue 24-Nov-20 12:11:37

Here's mine! Really missing my big fridge - we're living in our holiday home while a house purchase goes through and I'm finding it hard to put anything anywhere especially food and pans!! hmm

Urmstongran Tue 24-Nov-20 12:39:12

We fly back home to Manchester on Friday. The fridge here Malaga is almost empty .... some cans of Alhambra beer, a couple of Greek yoghurts, half a pot of raspberry jam, milk and in the top tray of the door - half a dozen lipsticks keeping cool so they don’t go too soft in the heat!
?

Bellasnana Tue 24-Nov-20 13:33:24

Forgot to say thanks to Maw for this thread. Being naturally nosey I’ve enjoyed seeing the contents of other folk’s fridges.?
