blackening lol

Just cleaned the top of the cooker and used blackening for the solid heating plates. Bet none of you do that on a regular basis.

New kitchen was supposed to happen 2 years ago- but for all sorts of reasons (some of you can guess, but won't mention it, or complain..) it did not. Probably never will. Ah well - I don't mind.

So do you blacken your hot plates still?

No, have never done the blackening thing to hotplates, probably looks good if you do though.
Am pleased we got ceramic hobs about ten years ago, as Hetty says, just a quick wipe over the glass and it’s done, marvellous.My Grandmother used to blacklead her range, it always sparkled.
