What to use instead of a carrier bag to store food in the freezer

I tend to use a carrier bag to store groups of foods in the freezer. I have 1 for bread, 1 for soup, 1 for fish, 1 for fruit. Now we don’t have lots of carrier bags, I don’t have any to use to replace the ones I am currently using. I could buy a bag for life but I’m a miser and I don’t like paying for things if I can find a free alternative. What to others use instead of carrier bags?

I use “bags for life” with squared off bottoms for different food groups, which can been wiped down easily with antiseptic wipes, and plastic covered wire baskets for odds and ends that don’t fall into any of the other categories.

I will add that my bags for life, which were bought solely for freezer use as mentioned earlier, are hung on a sturdy hook while I rummage through them. They never touch the floor as I would then have to replace them. I do like the idea of using mesh bags though so that will be an idea when the time comes to replace these.
