I don’t fold much - we use a lot of hangers! Sounds v good though.

As for sheets etc., best tip I’ve heard in years is stuffing (folded) duvet cover, bottom sheet and one pillow case, into the other pillow case, so that I don’t have to root around our far-too-small airing cupboard to find them.

NB the only bedding items I ever iron are pillowcases, and then only for guests.

Love that pillowcase "kit of parts" idea. So sensible.

I worked in retail (clotges) for 14 years. I had a folding table that enabled me to fold clothes neatly and all the same size for display. A folder can be made easily out of cardboard. Look on YouTube

I prefer to roll tops Mari Kondo style.

I really do love the ingenuity of people that can lead to them inventing such things like this. Absolutely wonderful, and - I am sure - a great assistance for many people.
Thanks to such items, big and small - life for people with any sort of disability problem is so much richer and easier these days.
Great that G.Netters give publicity to such items, I am certain there will be many g.netters who will find this little gadget a really helpful aid for them.

I love the term ‘dry washing’ Blossoming it’s how I refer to ironing, less threatening. MrJ does it anyway, I have very little needs doing, I roll t shirts, body heat gets creases out of most clothing, bedding is never ironed (note to self, stop buying part linen shirts!).

Witzend everything was on hangers but I couldn’t close the wardrobe doors and clothes were getting crushed. I have had a Great Wardrobe Purge and taken loads to the charity shop but I wanted to make best use of the space. I’m really pleased with the results, and I’ve just snipped off all those b****ing ribbons that shops have on scope neck t-shirts to stop them falling off the hanger. The wardrobe is now pristine and beautiful. At least for the time being

I think it's a useful gadget. However, like all gadgets it's only useful to you if you actually have a use for it !!

It is beside the point whether you want a gadget that folds clothes or would pay £10 for one.

Reminds me of the recent discussion about paying someone to clean bins. A lot of you found this daft - did you stop to consider that some of us cannot do everything for ourselves?

A neighbour recently asked a friend of mine, if I was ill because my front garden looks a right mess.

The cheeky besom didn't ring the door-bell and ask if I needed or wanted any help, I may add.

Blossoming I didn't jump on you. I responding to V3ra and Aldom criticism of me.

I know first hand how our bodies can make life hard for us. I have to make pastry one handed and use one hand for rolling. As I can't control both hands at once.

I never said it was a competition. We already have other things in our house with a bit of thought they can be used to help in various ways. Rather than resort to buying more things.

Anything that makes life easier is fine by me so ignore the sceptic's.
Keep posting any other ideas you may come across that will help us with everyday tasks.

Do some people like to be more precise than others? It allows you to a) put more in a space and b) find what you want more easily but I don't think anyone is suggesting it's compulsory Whiff.

I fold my sewing fabric like that too and then stack it so I can see what's available and I think this could be very useful for keeping different sized pieces a regular shape so no slipping stacks. Blossom, I had never heard of the gadget, I could imagine it saves a lot of people work if they have problems with hands or arms, also students it would save ironing. .Thank you for sharing it.

Blossoming, I'm glad you shared this with fellow GN's, and I am sure there will be many who find it useful. Anything that makes life easier for the user has to be worth it, surely? Those who don't need or wish for such gadgets, fair enough, but no need to pour scorn on those who do.

Blossoming Thank you so much for taking the time to share your folding gadget idea with us. Like you, I do my best to overcome my difficulties. I can't grip things as my hands don't close tightly enough. A a bit of help from a gadget like this would be good.
