My number one is getting the vacuum out and hoovering, I find it very therapeutic ?. I can honestly say I’m no Freddie Mercury wanting to break free,

Newatthis Fri 17-Sept-21 10:40:43

ironing and cleaning the bathroom (yes - ironing - am I a real woman?)

JaneJudge Fri 17-Sept-21 10:41:41

I like hanging the washing out

Audi10 Fri 17-Sept-21 10:43:37

Yes you are Newatthis as I enjoy ironing too, especially since I’ve bought a steam generator, although now I don’t have quite so much ironing to do, a lot of the clothes I’ve bought lately don’t need ironing, and the AC children have moved out

Vacuuming for me, ever since I bought a cordless "stick" vacuum especially - I can do all over the house without worrying about having to lug it up and down stairs.

I go on automatic pilot doing household chores apart from cooking which I adore so that’s not a chore.

Tidying the kitchen cupboards. I just love it when everything is beautifully parked so that I can see what is in there.

It usually lasts about a week before reverting to normal.

Absolutely none! I hate the lot!

Claretjan Fri 17-Sept-21 11:14:05

Me too Shysal!

Grandmabatty Fri 17-Sept-21 11:16:20

None. I prefer to sweep the floor with a glance.

Violettham Fri 17-Sept-21 11:19:13

None

annsixty Fri 17-Sept-21 11:25:06

None for me either, that’s why I have a cleaner.

Bea65 Fri 17-Sept-21 11:25:07

JaneJudge me too..my only real exercise!! Also sweeping the kitchen floor ..not very big kitchen...
Worst chore for me is hoovering as mobility impaired and have the worst 2-3 days of back ache...so only hoover once a month or, my lovely daughter does it when she visits?

Cooking, then watching Dh do the housework,i find that very therapeutic.

Galaxy Fri 17-Sept-21 11:32:28

I quite like organising cupboards, I hate hoovering, I quite like doing the internet food shop.

BlueBelle Fri 17-Sept-21 11:33:07

Housework and favourite do NOT go together in the same sentence
None, I too hate them all

Helen657 Fri 17-Sept-21 11:36:01

Absolutely none!!! I really need to sort myself a cleaner before the spiders throw me out!

grannylyn65 Fri 17-Sept-21 11:43:48

As Helen says

mrswoo Fri 17-Sept-21 11:51:14

I'm not a fan of housework but I do enjoy unloading the week's shopping and putting it away. I'm a Virgo and enjoy routine and being methodical (sad I know!) I cannot bear it if DH offers to help - although he means wellsmile

muse Fri 17-Sept-21 12:12:10

Hate everything to do with cleaning but I love clearing out and having orderly cupboards?

kittylester Fri 17-Sept-21 12:40:45

Hate it all, that's why we have always had a cleaner.

Kalu Fri 17-Sept-21 12:49:06

I have a small framed print in the kitchen…….My Idea of Housework is to Sweep the Room with a Glance!
We are on the same wavelength Grandmabatty ?

grannylyn65 Fri 17-Sept-21 12:49:55

So hate the frase means well
But not as much as I hate predictive text

tanith Fri 17-Sept-21 13:27:18

I do it because I like a clean house but the only thing I do enjoy is hanging out washing.

Wheniwasyourage Fri 17-Sept-21 15:48:48

Washing, including hanging it out or getting it dry in the house in wet weather. These days I even quite like ironing if there is something to listen to on the radio, as I don't have the mountain of shirts that I used to have when DH was working and the DC were at school.

Everything else, including cooking, is not my idea of fun.
