My family want to club together and get me a robot vacuum cleaner for Christmas. I must say the idea quite appeals to me as I have chronic back pain which makes vacuuming actually painful.
I'm sure there must be a number of 'cons' to consider and would love to hear from anyone who has one of these Roomba vacs. My house is carpeted throughout apart from the tiny kitchen, and I have a cat.
They sound too good to be true (which usually means they are.

Tha thing about the cat poop…yes, I have heard of an owner who had set theirs to come on at night. Unfortunately, the pet had pooped somewhere downstairs, when they came down in the morning, it had spattered everywhere!
Apart from that, they seem efficient and pick up lots of bits and crumbs etc, also, strangely, comforting company!

Up till now my cat has always gone outside to poo, we live in a remote part of the country, but I dare say she may have accidents as she gets older. I do envisage having to go round picking things up before I set it off, we are not a tidy family, and DH has always hung his clothes on the floor ever since the day we married.
I have tried ladies, I've better-tried. sad
smile I blame his Mum smile and she agrees, says its easier to pick things up than to nag.
I give up!
