French polishing ….. I think.

I have a hardwood coffee table which I’ve had for many years. It has become quite worn on top and has bleached marks on it. I am considering having it revamped but wonder if it’s worth it if it costs more than the table is worth. Has anyone done this and what are very approximate costs or is it simply not worth it.

Try it your self, fine wire wool and white spirit to take the wood down to the original then there are so many products available to stain and finish the prepared wood.

As Sago says, then gently wipe 'Button Polish' over it. This can be bought in the wood treatment aisles of any DIY store. It has nothing to do with buttons.
