Angry with dh

We are gardening today and Dh has been strimming round. I went out and was ‘shot’ with him spraying up stones in the drive. I tried to get his attention but the noise of the strummer is loud. He stopped for a second and I shouted to him to tell him to stop strimming the drive because of the stony ground.
Of course he carried on. I went into the kitchen and the front door was being ‘shot’ bang, bang bang. I knocked on the window and said STOP. He didn’t!
Result a large shattered pane of glass in the kitchen door. ?.
We are leaving in the morning to go to our home in Essex, so no time to get a replacement.

Why don’t ‘they’ listen. ?

I actually said to my DH tonight while telling him this story about your DH Gingster. ‘Are you listening to me’ he said ‘Yes of course I am’
I’m sure when I speak he just hears ‘Blah Blah Blah’

This really made me laugh!

I actually tell my husband to stop, sit down, and concentrate if I need to tell him something important.

But isn't it lovely that they are all active and share tasks like laundry.

Good thread Gingster

I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry at this thread, really. I thought it was just my dh but now I know he is not alone and that is cheering to me. On the other hand, does that mean there’s no hope and he’ll never change now?? ?

I have come to this thread late. I agree with all of points raised especially from Marydoll concerning golf.
About 20 years ago as a joke, I posed naked at the bottom of the stairs as DH came striding down off to his match. Not a flicker grin.
Mind you he dined out on that story many times.

blossom14, that did make me laugh. DH would have needed counselling if I posed like that!!!

Leave him at the place the window is broken and you go home for some R&R without him!
He is only allowed home when the window is fixed, make sure it comes out of his pocket only, and the place is tidy and secure!!

Haven’t read all posts but I would have unplugged strimmer and kept hold of it!!

Mine’s favourite response is ‘stop telling me what to do’ then proceeds to do it regardless of the consequences you have warned about, which then come to pass. I said don’t plant horseradish in the vegetable garden as it will take over. We now have horseradish taking over.
