Where to buy a kaftan online?

I cannot walk around the shops at the moment so buy everything online. In this hot weather I’ve been wearing a loose beach dress that I bought in Crete five years ago but it’s falling to pieces and I’d like to buy a cotton kaftan style dress - preferably sleeveless or short sleeved, maxi length and very loose, I am a size 24 on a good day!

Some of you have mentioned that you wear kaftans around the house and I wondered if you could suggest an online retailer? I’ve googled a few but I’m always suspicious of the quality of clothes from places I have not heard of. None of the “regular” stores seem to sell them.

Thanks

I bought a lovely cotton dress from Amazon last year. Loose fitting maxi length with short sleeves. Not a kaftan I know, but it's very floaty and cool in the hot weather.
I looked at the reviews before purchasing, all very positive which was reassuring.

Try Etsy and JD Williams both sell them. Reasonable prices.

Lagenlook have floaty and unusual clothing. They do two sizes and I tend to go for the larger.
Kasbah sometimes have natural fabrics but they have more man made these days.
Good luck

Try Kit and Kaboodal

Try David Nieper. In the more expensive range, but excellent quality. Hope you find what you are looking for.

Thanks for these suggestions, I’m going to look at them this afternoon. I love Kit and Kaboodal clothes but haven’t actually bought any yet, I’ll look there first! I’ve never thought of buying clothes on Amazon but it’ll be interesting to see what they have.

Be careful on Amazon and eBay - check out where the clothes are coming from - it’s often China and (a) they might be poor quality and (b) they often take weeks to arrive. Not all sellers, obviously.

I took a chance on Amazon kaftans and was pleasantly surprised. They are very lightweight, but they are bright and cheerful and arrived quickly.

I have 5 or 6 which I purchased from Amazon. They are lightweight and long (v neck with a mid slit up one side. They are perfect for slipping on after a bath or shower. I’ve even taken them on holiday and quite often sit in the garden in the evenings (especially lately). We’re not overlooked btw but even if we were it wouldn’t bother me. Lovely and cool ?

Kaftans are wonderful for lounging around the house. You dont need to wear anything under them in summer. In winter you can add leggings and a t-shirt underneath to keep you warm.

All mine come from various Ebay USA shops as they really do cater for plus sizes and have some wonderful styles and designs. Its fair to say that as I run an international business I have a US based shipper so all my purchases are sent there agent for consolidation with other purchases. Otherwise I would be paying international postage and customs duty on every little package. I have everything packed into one big box and Fedexed over about once a month

However I have bought one or two on Amazon but do check the sizes carefully.

I bought 2 kaftans over 2 years ago from an advert in People`s Friend magazine. They were only £9.99 each, and are still like new, having been worn and washed regularly. They are advertised a lot in magazines.
