That's a great idea, thank you! Clock Face is a lovely colour Nannytopsy but a bit too grey.

Paint a sheet of paper and pin it up in several parts of the room to see whether it changes due to the different areas. Also do it when lights are on in the evenings .

I like little greene clock face but its colour changes according to the light from outside

That's a great top Doodledog, thank you! I've also decided today that I'm going to tackle the job myself for the first time! I'll need their advice on the easiest method of application for beginners grin

F&B colour charts!

Doodledog Sat 17-Sept-22 07:45:42

If you find a F&B colour you like (or any colour from anywhere) B&Q will mix it for you using their Valspar paint. Just take the colour chart to the mixing station (they even stock the C&B colour charts grin). My daughter does this and you wouldn’t know the difference. My decorator bought the paint or I would have done likewise.

Thank you Oldbat1. I have decided to go for some testers today rather than next week. There are a couple of colours in the Johnstones range that look promising. I love F&B shades though their prices don't fall within my budget sadly.

Our living room is F &B cream and it is quite a rich cream - I like it. The kitchen cabinets are McPherson ivory which again look creamy but not a rich shade more a gentle. Good luck choosing.

Going for testers!

starshine Fri 16-Sept-22 19:32:53

Thanks so much for that - it actually is helpful. The yellow on the walls we've just had done was meant to be Ivory! We didn't even bother with a tester as we expected it to be a definite cream when we chose it from the swatch card. Lesson learned. I shall be doing for testers next week.

I've just had mine done in F&B Farrow's Cream. I really like it, but it is very yellow. No direct help, but I didn't want to ignore your post, and you'll know to avoid it grin

I'm drawn to this colour for my living room and wonder if anyone here has used it? I'm looking for a sort of antique parchment colour but not yellow toned - more creamy. Or any other recommendations gratefully received! Thank you.
