I need to buy a new sewing machine I gave mine to my DD, I was once an avid sewer, making many of DC clothes and for myself . For many years since then I have only done mending , and simple alterations. Can anyone recommend a simple to use basic machine please as I feel I would like to have another go -starting with cushion covers !

Onwardandupward, I still get that stomach churning excitement when I think of my second hand bernina record. I was watching youtube and saw the inner workings of the old mechanical bernina machines and I was hooked, I absolutely love mechanical things, the way they are built and their smooth way of working. The swiss were the masters at building these machines

A second hand bernina is a very solid investment and far cheaper second hand than new. There are very good vibes in my machine, someone has lovingly used it and looked after it from new. If that person has passed on, they will be smiling down at seeing it used again

A much better and wiser buy than cheap plastic tat made in china
