Octopus and low use points scheme

Had an e mail tonight offering us the opportunity to lower our usage of gas and electricity between 5 and 6 tomorrow to earn discount points. I opted in and am now wondering how to handle it. Go to the pub? Sit and read by candlelight? Go to bed? What do you think?

I will do my bit towards helping peak electricity flow, I did not sign up

I am baking cakes right now, will be done by 6.30 am, duel purpose including putting warmth into my kitchen and I am planning on cooking a christmas turkey joint on christmas eve, during the day. I shall try to think of other things to help, maybe breadmaker on a timer, to be ready by 6am in future and certainly washing machine on a timer too
