Buying a new sofa

We are a little short in our legs (and creaky!) ands are looking for a new sofa. We don't want old-fashioned and comfortable as the gplan sofas are, they lack a certain pizazz in the styling department. We know we need a 50 cm cushion depth and fairly upright back, and are having difficulty finding anything. Surely we are not alone? Any advice welcome!

I have heard that there are long waits. My df bought one from Sofology about a year ago and hasn't had it yet!

I'm looking for a sofa and chair too. But not expensive, I simply can't afford it. The room is small and all I want is a very small 2 seater sofa and chair - like cottage style (as I call it).
So what can I do! I'd be grateful of suggestions.

Effi Have you tried a British Heart Foundation furniture shop. I needed a new armchair and found a very nice one there. They had a great range of sizes and styles at very reasonable prices.

Yes deedaa I have tried BHF but something tells me they may be online too. Mind you its not a great hurry for it, so what I may do is keep looking in BHF.

Furniture Village have a Compact Collection Petit range that might be worth a look for you.

Parker Knoll in Amersham fabric. Has back and seat pads. Super comfortable, well made and fits into traditional or modern interiors. I think back pads are essential. I don’t like matching chairs but love his/hers Stressless leather recliners. Really good for elderly spines!

eBay? I always check there before spending lots of money.
Having sold things on there myself I am glad when others offer second hand too.

People are always having house clearances.
