best metal fence to surround open front lawn

Not metal fencing spiky Berberis or Roses are the answer, fairly closely planted trimmed to knee high will deter most dogs and kids

On our estate some people have put in small hedging plants and let them grow to about knee high. I think there's a rule in the deeds about the height allowed.

A lot of people have had most of their front garden block-paved to give more off-road parking.
The original drives only had space for one, or at most two, cars.

I live on an estate where there is suposed to be a covenent not to enclose an open front garden. This house already had a fence when I bought it, as did many others. The covenent seems to be ignored as more and more houses in the road are putting up boundaries of some sort. If there are already houses in your street with fences you can probably do likewise as no one is going to complain.

sorry had laptop trouble its been away for repair,i actually forgot i had already posted question.only just seen answers,will check my deeds,but the kids round here are driving me mad going accross the front lawn.my little dogs looks out of the window and gets upset as well ,thank you all

Check your deeds - it’s often the case that you are not allowed to enclose an open front garden.
