I got a GTech after advice from GNs. Am absolutely delighted with it. It's lightweight, easily manoeverable and the battery lasts a decent amount between charges.

My mum has a G-Tech, and it is light, because the motor/better compartment is on the floor. I’ve got a Shark cordless, and it’s excellent, but it does make your arm ache.

I have a 2 cordless Morphy Richards cleaners , one for upstairs ( saves having to carry up & down stairs as have mobility issues ). and the other for downstairs . They can also be pulled apart to use as hand held cleaner . They are so lightweight, quick & easy to use . No trailing leads , plugging in and unplugging when finished .

Another vote for Gtech. Had mine now for nearly four years, use on carpet and hard floors. Battery still last for a long time. Picks up everything - do need to keep filters clean. No trailing cord to trip over.

I had a GTech a few Years ago and found it didn’t pick up that well and the battery didn’t last very long .
Much prefer a plug in hoover .

I prefer cordless so much easier and the GTech is brilliant really lightweight but picks us marvellous, order from direct they are UK based and after sales service is brilliant, next day delivery .

Just wondered why you don't like cordless? I've got a Gtech - it's very lightweight and the charge lasts a long time - it's much much easier than having to keep plugging and unplugging and being careful not to get tangled in the flex
