What model, or series is it? Should be able to alter it by pressing right hand, bottom button. It should reduce your program to 1.5 hrs.
I usually use quick half hour.
Try vanish soap bar on those curry stains.

Does anyone have a good basic washer, I don’t want anything fancy just simple and reliable, I only use three programmes plus spin. Also I need it fitted and the other one recycled. Thank you.

Mention of hot water fill reminded me of my very first washing machine. 1970 - had a small baby of a year old, when second one was born. Had managed up to them, with launderette and all babies things hand washed (nappies in Milton and rinsed in large kitchen sink!!!
With second baby we decided to splash out on this machine (indesit). No room in our scullery kitchenette, so it went in bathroom which was above it.
The two IN hoses (hot and cold) had to be pushed on to the bath taps, and the OUT hose draped over the bath. First cycle hubbie and I watched with wrapt attention!!!
Problem was how often this machine went walkies pulling that out hose off the bath. Often first we would know would be when water started to drip through the ceiling!!!
Eventually we moved houses and our next one was a new build so it actually had plumbing built in for washing machine in kitchen - pure luxury!!!! However, even that did cause problems - not the least was when the in hose somehow came loose and I woke one morning to a paddling pool throughout the downstairs.
As for spins - they were about 800 back then. ONly higher spins were on top loaders. I can remember asking a salesman in a large store why we could not have 1000 or more spin on a front loader - and he (obviously not knowing, but trying to get a sale) told me that any higher speed than 800 with the drum on its side would cause it to spin off and break in no time at all. A couple of years later the first front loading machine with 1000 spin appeared!!
The Hoover one I have now has a 1600 spin!!!!
Franbern and restore a hot water fill please,
and a 50degree wash,
thanks!
I should think Allsorts has a washer by now! but I have read these comments with interest thank you ladies.
I bought a Bosch this year and I hate it. I only use one programme, the shortest I can find, and it is states two hours and I think 25 mins but it goes on for around 3 hours. I have a habit of getting curry stains on a T-shirt and this machine does zilch.
I cannot justify getting rid of it. It is so quiet I have to see if the clothes are moving.
I have said for a long time, that i had the money I would put on the market a basic washing machine. Three heats, standard long wash (about and hour) and short wash 30 minutes. Two spin speeds. Bet it would be a best seller in no time.
Cannot understand why the manufacturers see to go out of the way to have so very many programmes. I have never ever met anyone who uses more than about three of them.
Surely, a basic machine could keep price low.
My current machine, purchased in 2019 I bought purely because it has a good size drum and a spin speed of 1600. Has been trouble free to date - but there is only me using it.
In the past when I was washing for a large family I stuck to Indesit and they gave good cheap service. Would never by from Currys as I resent their extra charges for delivery, installation and removal. Independent shops usually include this as part of their customer service.

I bought a Beko not long ago, BEKO - WTK82011W 8 kg 1200 Spin Washing Machine - White £250ish. From Currys online - £25 delivery, probably another £50ish to plumb in/remove old one, but we did that. Local scrap dealer may take it for free as the drums are resaleable as garden fire grates (well they are up here). I've had Bosch before and can't say it was any better. This one is efficient and fairly quiet.
I also like Indesit as I've found them very reliable and good value for money.
Beko is well regarded and the biggest seller in Europe.
Beko are very good. Made in Turkey I think 🤔
We had an indesit for twenty odd years- got rid as I was fed up looking at it. New Siemens conked out after only two years.
Go for a basic top-load or simple front-load 7–8 kg from a mainstream brand — you don’t need fancy features if you only use 3 programmes + spin. Good, reliable choices in Pakistan are Dawlance, Haier, Samsung, Bosch (they make simple models and have local service networks).
I have had my Zanussi for about 15 years, no complaints.
I bought one of these last month. I think Logik may be Curry's own brand. It has more than enough programmes, but each has a default spin speed, mostly lower than the maximum 1400rpm. It is simple to override and change to the max, but I don't think the washing is quite as dry as with my old machine. I have therefore been doing an extra spin only afterward.
I never choose a long wash, usually go for the 1hour20 'mix' setting. Apart from the above I am very pleased with it
Curry's were great, installing and taking way the old one for a small fee.
I have Bush from argos for last 3 years. No problems. I use 15 minute wash and extra spin for small bits and 60 minute mostly which has temperature adjust from 60 through to 30. also can adjust spin speed.
I wouldn't dream of paying more money for a machine that took 2 hours or more to do a wash.
By the way Beko are excellent value for money.
If you go to an independent retailer they will probably drain the water away for you, connect the new one and remove the old one. Unlike the large companies they will not charge you for unpacking, connecting or removing packaging.
They all start with a low price but there are a lot of add ons. It’s also good to support small businesses!
If you buy from Curry’s you can pay for them to install and take away the old machine.
Another vote for Bosch. Ours is twelve years old and still going strong.
Another vote for Beko. I’ve had mine 6 years with no issues. That 15 minute wash can also be extended to 30 and 45, whereas the shortest other programme in 59 minutes. There are quite a few programmes to chose from, but I only use 2 and sometimes an extra rinse or double spin. As I do family laundry it’s used the equivalent of daily. It’s efficient and quiet. No complaints.
Isn't there a little door at the bottom front of your washing machine which opens and allows you to drain the water out?
I recently bought a Samsung 1400 spin speed machine on line, programmes are much shorter but it does an excellent wash.
Thank you so much for your help and comments. I have looked at the companies mentioned, who knows how I will drain the water off left in the machine though, companies need this done to recycle and connect. I wouldn't mind the drum as a garden grate what a good idea.

A year ago, we bought a Beko washing machine from a local business. It has a 14 minute quick wash but the guys who fitted it, said that an eco wash is more economical.
We've had expensive machines in the past, but I have to say, I actually love this one.
The reason I looked at Beko is my son has had one for ten years and it has never gone wrong.
Ought to have said that I bought it at Curry's. They installed it for me and for a small charge they took my old machine away to recycle.
I bought a LG washing machine in the summer when my Indesit bit the dust. It has a 9kg load capacity. It has programmes that I will probably never use but I can recommend it. It is quite quiet too.
Interesting thread as mine is on the blink and I'm not sure it will mend. We have a local man who can fix most things so I'll get him to look at it but I may end up looking for a replacement.
Very happy with my reasonably basic Bosch, which I’ve had for quite a few years, without any problems. 🤞
