I had to have my patio doors imported from Germany as I couldn't get the width in UK. I would need double width curtains. Do any off the peg curtains come in double width?

You could buy two pairs and have them joined?

John Lewis ready made are good and I think they have a sale at the moment.

John Lewis.

Headings are a matter of style preference, from a more casual look to very formal.

IKEA have a good range of very reasonable curtains, all a good length if required to reach floor. I bought curtains fir both sitting and dining rooms and very pleased with them.

Dunelm have a huge range of curtains and the quality seems fine to me, but I have also bought some nice ones from Homebase.

Have you looked at Terry’s Fabrics?

I had my curtains made by a local lady as none of my windows are standard size and I wouldn’t know where to start. Her charges were very reasonable. Yes, fabric can be expensive but the choice is yours.

Do you belong to the neighbourhood group NextDoor there are usually people who will make up curtains for you. But, Oopsadaisy is right, the cost of materials is expensive.

John Lewis.

I usually make mine, but fabric is sooo expensive so my last ones came from John Lewis, they have a sale on at the moment so you might get a bargain.

We need 4 sets of curtains for the front of the house, preferably ones that come to the floor. Windows are standard size and all the same. I am horrified by the price of bespoke curtains so will buy ready-made. I don't need blackout although linings would be good. The house is decorated in fairly neutral colours although we do have burnt orange in one room - so I am thinking about something with a silver theme perhaps. I'm not good with putting colours together. Can anyone suggest a seller? Don't want to go to Dunelm Mill as their quality is poor but equally don't want to spend a fortune. Also what about headings? Any advice appreciated.
