Has anyone used sharps or Hammonds to restyle their bedroom? If so would you recommend

We Hammonds to do our bedroom and one of our spare rooms a couple of years ago.

Very happy with all aspects of their service, particularly the fitters.

I cannot recommend Sharps.
Overpriced and very poor quality , my own experience.

Will give them a go and get a quote. Thank you.
Was it a ridiculous price ๐Ÿ™ˆ

It was rather pricey as we have a large bedroom so a long run of wardrobes with internal drawers, shelves, double hanging rails. Along with bedside draw units, dressing table and stand alone drawers.

The spare room was just fitted wardrobes with sliding doors, one double hanging side and the other side was shelves.

We had a quote from Sharps years ago. We wanted a wardrobe at each side of the bed and bedside cabinets with cupboards above.
We also wanted a run on the wall opposite with drawers and another wardrobe.
We were told that this would class as doing 2 bedrooms. The price was very high.
Instead we visited a local family firm making and installing bedroom furniture. Plenty choice of colours, finishes and fittings. Still looks really good years later and was around half the price quoted by Sharps.
Iโ€™d look locally.

Look local....my DM got her fitted bedroom furniture for almost half price of sharps ....6 years later still looks great

My daughter used Hammond, she is thrilled with the result. Perhaps she was unlucky with the local chaps work.

There is an estate of very nice houses near us, some still under construction.
Prices go up to over ยฃ1million pounds so you can imagine them.
The fitted furniture, certainly bedrooms and I think kitchens and storage cupboards are by Hammond.
They look very nice.

Over the years I have found that going to a small local company always produces better work costing a lot less than Hammonds/Sharps, etc. AND........far better after-sales service.

My mum got her bedroom done by Sharps, and it looks good, but I thought the service was very limited, particularly given the cost. They don't get involved with anything other than the actual fitting, so things like siting power points and lighting have to be done separately, and they wouldn't help to move furniture etc either.

A local firm is much more likely to do this sort of thing, I think.

We shopped locally too - came out a fraction of the price of the big named companies and also helped local tradesmen.
