I am being bombarded with adverts from Purdey and Figg. Has anyone used this and is it as good as it claims to be? I am seriously tempted.

I like my neom oils & diffuser to make my house smell lovely. Can’t do with plug artificial smells

If we are recommending brands, may I suggest Nikura for oils? After years of using Neom and Aromatherapy Associates I now use Nikura ones, as they are very much cheaper for basically the same thing.

They do essential oils, fragrance oils blended from essential oils and perfume dupes. I can’t speak for the dupes other than to say that my DIL loves the Black Opium one, but I have several waterless diffusers at home, and use Nikura oils in all of them. Highland Spring is great in bathroom/lavatory settings, and the winter scents are coming into their own now.

Obviously you can mix your own, too - cinnamon bark with a bit of patchouli added is another favourite of mine, but their Christmas ones are also lovely.

Fill your basket, leave an email address hanging at checkout and they will email you a further discount.

So happy to read this Doodledog. I ordered some yesterday after dithering for ages.
I’ve got one of the Neom cordless diffusers and can’t smell the fragrance at all, plus I don’t particularly like the smell. I’ll let you know how I get on.

I hope you like then, Katyj.

Thank you.

Ordered some for myself and pressies.

What did the Nikura buyers think?

I'm always wary of recommending things in case people hate them grin.

Doodle dog I’m away at the moment. I’ll let you know.

I buy it. I love the different smells and it feels like a treat when I am using it. It cleans well and it is a natural product. I really like the glass bottle. However, I do associate many cleaning smells with different times of my life and this is just another one of those.

Forgot about this thread. The Nikura oils arrived last week, so far I’ve tried the calm, and the linen. I’m finding them very good and so reasonable too, I’ve ordered six so still a few try.

There is a Black Friday offer on just now (P&F). You get two complete sets, ie 2 cloths, 2 bottles and 2 sets of 3 concentrates for £24.

It is a subscription, but you can opt out by cancelling when the goods arrive. It's easy to do that, and you can resubscribe at any time. If anyone is concerned about the ethics of doing this, it is not, presumably, bad for the company, as they make it the best way to get the refills, which are more expensive to by as stand-alone items. If they wanted to they could restrict the special offer subscriptions to new customers only, or insist on a minimum length of time before they can be cancelled.

Anyway, if anyone is thinking of trying it, now is as good a time as any.

Thanks for reporting back. I often use the fresh linen one in the kitchen.

Got a box of Purdy and Figg from daughter last year. Smells are really nice and I like using it, but still find myself picking up cleaning products in supermarket.
