My small house is soon to be decorated. I’m trying to choose a warm white shade to paint my living room, stairs and landing. Most of the Dulux shades seem quite beige. Has anyone got a recommendation for a colour they’ve used? Not greys.

Looking at DH Drab on one wall, but don’t know what light tone to go for on the other three.

Watching decorators views on Dulux heritage v Farrow & ball, most mostly say DH is easier to work with.
Farrow & ball needs at least one under coat, 2/3 coats. We have used raw cashmere & ochre white on upstairs panels. I must say it looks lovely. I think we will stick with Dulux heritage.

I'd order a colour chart online from Little Green.

We have clay pale and China clay (again in the pale) - the second (I think) is the slightly cool pinkish one and is stunning in all lights!

Be wary - many off-whites are a bit sort-of "dirty yellow" or magnolia creamy.

Mt61 try getting your shop to mix the colour in a different brand. I found almost perfect matches for off-beat Little Green colours - NOT mustards though!
Nobody seems to be able to match those!

Again watching reviews, little Green not brilliant at applying but for all I know these decoraters probably work for Dulux.
I know years ago I helped a friend paint with a dark green LG paint, went on like a camouflage design, patchy as heck. Maybe the surface wasn’t brilliant.

I know what you mean by yellow tones, that’s my worry.
If we a going to spend a lot on paint I want it spot on.
The clay sounds lovely. Is it a greenish tone?

I do like Portland stone pale but even that might be too dark in our long living room.. but I was going very dark green… oh I don’t know 🤷‍♀️

Thanks for all the suggestions.
I’ve now chosen my paint colours Dulux Summer Linen for the living room, hall and stairs. Blush pink for my bedroom. Decorator coming end of November. I hope I like the colours.

We used Jasmine white on an inside door after repairing it. Perfect match for white that has gone off a bit.. I intend to use it in my lounge hall and stairs.. also lavender white is lovely colour for bedroom.
