A Shark downstairs -excellent and effective- and a Dyson which I love because it is so light upstairs - saves carrying up and downstairs!) but the cleaner brings their own Henry.

Disagree Suspiros. You should try one. No pesky lead and really good suction.

I have two Mieles, one upstairs, one downstairs. They clean brilliantly, not too heavy. I’ve had Mieles for 30 years - I once bought a Dyson but hated it and resold it after a couple of months. A relative has a Gtech air ram. It’s ok but not a patch on the Miele.

I have an old Henry l use as back up, but for day to day use, l use a Shark (the pet/antiwrap one). It is good in some respects. For example, it is light and very manoverable. There is also a really useful attachment for removing dust. The main downside for me is the lead, which could do with being about 4ft longer.

I love my GTech air ram. No problems at all with it. So light and easily manipulated into the odd corner and under the sofa.

I hVe a shark.its the one that empties automatically into a box when it’s plugged in. When the box is full it’s easy to empty. I’ve had no problems with it but could do with being a bit more powerful.

This is the one I have. It's surprisingly powerful and extremely lightweight.
Doesn't need any pressure.
Very long cord. Spare filter, easy to empty and rinse the filter for next time.
Half price at the moment.

I was going to treat myself to a cordless but heard so many with stories like yours Allsorts I d love a Henry but I wouldn’t want to lug it about we have one at work and they are so heavy
So I ll watch this thread with interest

I am heartily sick of my very expensive cordless vac., just spend fifty pounds on filters etc and now the motors gone, it's like feeding an ever hungry object, always plugged in ready to go and waiting to be emptied and cleaned. Have a brilliant Henry but it is too heavy for me and nothing cleans like Henry.
Any ideas please but definitely never another cordless.
