Cordless Pressure Washer

Has anyone tried out a cordless pressure washer? They don’t need to be connected to mains water but can be fed by as little as a bucket of water. Thinking one of those would be a great way of using captured rain water. They look too good to be true so probably are.

I’m not sure the pressure would be quite the same actually. We have a Karcher that can be connected to a waterbutt instead of the outside tap but MrA claims the jet pressure produced isn’t nearly as good.

I bought one last summer during the hose pipe ban, thinking it would be useful taking water from a bucket for plant watering or car washing. The jet was very fine and not very powerful. I only used it once! I think it was a JML but might be mistaken.

I'v been quite pleased with mine. it depends what you want to do with it but for what I wanted for the greenhouse and garden it was good.

I had one & returned it, found it pretty useless.

When we moved house and went into a flat, we obviously couldn't run a hose pipe down the stairs so we got one of those washers you are talking about. We find it has been really good, the pressure on ours is fine, bit of a bummer having to refill but it blasts dirt off the car, or path etc.
When we ordered it I have to say I thought it would come out of the end of the hose thingy as more of a dribble but I think it's really good for what we paid.

We bought one to clean bins & patio. Various settings Love it.

Bought a cheap one a couple of years ago. It aint gonna pressure the patio! But patio furniture, green house, car wash its ok. A trug or bucket of water, shampoo and job done. But not as powerful as main one. But we use it alot!

Just wondering if those of you that love it have a different, superior make, or just different needs and expectations?

Ryobi do a very good quality one but with quality comes cost. It comes without a battery so you'll need to buy one as a separate unit. Washer £160. Battery £40 - £75 depending on Ah (Amp Hour = how long you want the battery to stay powered-up before needing recharging.)

I bought mine from Must Have Ideas. Mainly for washing the car, it works fine for that but I don't think it would take moss off a path or anything like that. My biggest problem I that I can't carry a full bucket of water due to arthritis, it can be attached directly to the hosepipe in the garden, but I can't seem to remove the attachmen on the end of the hose. I think I've got to face it I'm a bit decrepit now......

We bought ours from Must Have Ideas. We use it for washing the car, caravan and decking, and for watering the garden (we attach the fine spray and point it upwards and let it fall like rain). It works well from a bucket/water butt. I dont think it would tackle really dirty drives and paving though. We haven't tried it directly on a hosepipe because we keep forgetting we have an outside tap.

Thank you @KKOB and @missdeke that’s helpful.

My husband bought one last summer because of hose pipe ban.
He hasn't opened the box yet.
One of those 'I must have it until I get it home buys'

I find anything that is cordless has much less power than plugged in what ever it is.

I ordered one last year as using a jet washer and hose is a faff where I live, it was OK for very light jobs but after about 4 uses the battery will not charge although I charged it up after every use. Comes from China £59.95 and it wasn't worth the money as the pressure is quite poor. A normal hose with my thumb over the end to create a pressure was just as good.

I got mine from Must Have Ideas and have used it since last summer when our hosepipe ban started - only just been lifted! Very good for watering the garden and cleaning the car. Haven't yet tried it on the patio, but it has a range of power levels and no need for the faff of connecting up to the hosepipe. Charge from the battery seems to last for some time.
