What’s the best way to clean wall boards in the shower. They look clean but feel dirty.

I have shower boarding and don't use anything to clean the boards apart from a towel. Living in a rural environment with a septic tank I'm much more in tune with the damage that most cleaning fluids/solutions cause to drainage systems. I don't use foamy shower gels - they're all carcinogenic anyway - and the boards don't get greasy. Having to care for the entire drainage and sewage process as a family makes us all far more sensitive to what we really need to wash ourselves and our clothes, and what we don't.

Shower gels are all carcinogenic? Really? 😱

I've never heard that.

What do you use to wash your body? 🤔

I use this

OXO Good Grips Extendable Tub and Tile Scrub

cheap easy and fast.

So many things including sunlight are carcinogenic. Recently hot drinks have been identified as a cause of œsophageal cancer, so maybe we should sit unwashed in the dark, drinking cold water.

Some washing products do contain things that are identified as potentially being carcinogenic, but if there was even a moderate risk, surely the products would be banned.
New research identifies new problems and changes are made to reflect this. EU/UK have stricter rules than the USA.
Mostly I look for shower gel sans parabens
I tried soap, but after DH dropped it on his foot resulting in damage that meant only I could walk the dog for just over a week, we reverted to gel.

Yes, I guess so. Well I'm not going to worry about shower gel, I use it sparingly anyway. I don't like bars of soap because they go slimy and leave a mess.

@Seapebble I do exactly the same - swipe all the tiling, walls and floor, with a squeegee, followed by drying, including the chrome, with a small microfibre towel which I keep for this purpose. No need for any cleaning spray and everything is exactly as it was when the bathroom was installed almost ten years ago. Getting everywhere DRY is the crucial thing.

Colliemum - if it hadn't been for that tiler's advice, I'd be using all the products on sale. I can't believe how just keeping it dry and the occasional spray of vinegar does the job. After brushing my teeth I use my hands to swish any toothpaste smears and then a cloth to dry the sink and tap. It takes less than a minute and means no big cleaning session once a week (or less - I hate cleaning). No limescale clogging up the taps. I sometimes imagine how much money I've saved by buying all those products - not to mention what I used to inhale. My under sink cupboard was crammed with them.
By the way may I take a moment to thank Gransnetters for other housekeeping advice. One habit I took up was removing the detergent drawer every time a load finishes. I let it dry on the draining board. Mine used to be a claggy mess even though I left it half open.

My screen comes down to the floor - how do you get the Karcher to clean the last few inches of screen where it reaches the floor (there is no step).

I was told to use tinfoil for taps, but haven’t tried it yet ..

I tried it and it worked well.

Use the Karcher or window blade from top to bottom, as far as it will go, then horizontal to clear the last drips. I do my bi-fold doors in the conservatory like this too.

Cleaning shower?... I use Viakal, squirt it or spray it on all over . Get into the shower yourself armed with a brush ( I take the head off of my soft sweeping brush). Give it a rub all over wait a couple of minutes then rinse. Sorted
