I bought a set of silicone egg cups and egg poachers. The beauty of the egg cups is that they don't move on the plate.

I’ve had some wooden eggcups for decades, one slightly split because my young adult offspring would put them in the dishwasher despite my endless instructions as to what must be washed by hand. It still holds a boiled egg perfectly well. I think they were from Tesco, but it was a long time ago.

Look for camping egg cups. There will be some nice, cheerful plastic egg cups. hugs

I could never find nice egg cups so I bought IKEA candle holders for 99p and turned them upside down.

Thanks, some great choices. Never thought of Tesco - don’t have one near me.

Love Sophie Allport designs.

It was Sophie Allport I meant Casdon. There are some nice designs.

Try Sophie Allport, this one is in a set, but it’s a good price for what you get. There are other designs too.

Loads of unbreakable melamine egg cups out there. Sophie Allsopp has some nice designs for children and Tesco’s stock one that looks like an egg.

I remember as a child having a plastic one in the shape of a tortoise. It was lemon and the egg cup was its back. Very politically incorrect there was a little black boy figure sat on the neck riding it.

I know exactly what you mean. I am a boiled egg for breakfast person and always have been. The only eggcups Ive found to be best were those wooden ones that we used to buy in a string of 4/5/6. Metal ones are too hot to manage with the newly boiled egg. Pottery ,too easily broken. I too would like info on what to choose next as my current one (80's maybe) is split.

I have been looking ‘everywhere’ for a child’s unbreakabke eggcup - no luck - they don’t seem to exist. Anyone know differently?’
Although I am called Granless, I am now a Grandma. Little granddaughter is now 20 months’ old and took many years to arrive 🥰.
