Air Con units

Apparently we’re due for a heatwave this summer and I really hate being too hot.
Has anyone bought an AC unit in the last couple of years and what should I look out for.

Any thoughts please?

My son has one. He has one of these modern 3 stores houses. The top 2 bedroom get very warm so he put an Air con unit between the two rooms as his girls sleep in those. He said it makes a huge difference. Sure he got it from John Lewis.

Be mindful of the fact that the ones situated outside can be noisy , so you might think carefully where it might be placed with regard to neighbours
