I never even knew there was a Christmas bonus! How much is it? When do you get it? Does everyone get it or just those on Pension Credit?

There is a non-alcoholic alternative or you could give the wine as a present.

I was telling someone the other day about the Christmas bonus of £10. She laughed and said 'what on earth could you get for that?' I told her you could probably get your Christmas Day dinner, including dessert. The week before Christmas, Lidl had (quite large) bags of potatoes, bags of sprouts, carrots and parsnips all for 19p each. We bought a delicious raspberry pavlova from Aldi for £1.49.

If you get a state pension then you get the £10 bonus, mine was paid into my bank account on 5/12/16, not spent mine yet cant decide what to buy lol

I put mine with the 5.00 vouchers i had collected throughout the year from Morrison's and used the whole lot towards the cost of our Christmas goodies.
