Spelling mistakes on accounts letters

There's a difference between typos (and autocorrection, the bane of my life!) and actual bad spelling. A whole generation missed out on spelling tests at school, and hence really struggle now. I feel for them. invesment is clearly a typo and should have been picked up on reading it through, which some people don't bother to do.

I used to type medical correspondence from dictation many years ago, and was alarmed that the doctors never checked their letters, just signed them in haste before going out on visits. But then I realised they actually trusted me to get it right, so I had to!

Chewbacca, I hope that your solicitors are not charging you for all their mistakes! The charges for a letter are very high.
You would think, that these days with documents on computer, once a correction had been made, all would be well.

I've received legal documents from my solicitor today and every single document had my name spelt incorrectly AGAIN! I've pointed this out to them, at least 10 times on previous documents, and STILL they keep doing it. I think it's careless and bad mannered

The worst things are dating profiles.... when they are claiming to be "intelligent" and can't even spell it (intelegunt, intelegant, etc etc I have seen every variation), or take the trouble to use spellcheck, I know they're certainly not my ideal match.

You'd think they could at least use a spellcheck!
