Just realised that the DWP is paying Xmas bonus with qualifying benefits. It's made me think, I receive contribution based ESA, and D L A, my husband gets a state pension , all three are qualifying benefits, does that mean we get £30 as opposed to just £10?

I'm desperate for that £10.
It's not going to buy much food- but hey. It helps.
It would be better if I could put the heating on and shift this pleurisy, food first though.
I can't believe how this year is ending. It is nothing like how things were even going back three months.

This is my husband's first Christmas on PIP so, as I understand it, he should get the £10 bonus. Nothing so far though.

Good point also true regarding cold weather payment.

Mum used to buy a turkey with hers, when our children were small. She was widowed and always came to us at Christmas.

£10 was worth something on the 70s .I could buy a weeks shopping for that. Now its only a token , you don't get w letter about it. Probably most politicians don't know about it or I'm sure it would have been stopped years ago.

If you don’t need it, give to charity.

I always get a letter from DWP telling me it’s going into my account.
