I was shocked to find out that many older victims and survivors of domestic abuse are being forgotten, simply because of a gap in data collection.

Domestic abuse can happen to anyone, at any age - so why aren't over-74s being counted in official figures?

If they don't appear in the stats, then they won't be thought of when support services are set up. This can't continue.

I've just signed this letter asking the Government to change the law so that everyone gets counted, regardless of their age. Will you sign it too?

I already signed today. Its shocking they think it’s ok not to collect data from 74 plus. Don’t we count.?

Signed.

I worked for some years as a Home ADvisor for Age UK and came across several cases of elder abuse, and those were just the ones I identified.
