Paid for new replacement passport for dh but no acknowledgement and no lex number.

Thank you for trying to help. I made two separate passport applications today. One for me and one for dh. Both on gov.sites. They have a new system now. You pay and then they send you a link to confirm my identity. My application went straight through and I completed the identity details. This has all been completed and I have a confirmation. Then I did my dh’s application and filled in payment details. I paid on the credit card and I looked into our bank and the two amounts are pending. The bank has put the amounts aside until claimed. I have no idea which amount relates to first or second payment as only day is shown. I have been on chat line and they can’t see an application for dh. Don’t want to pay again.

How does your credit card statement identify the recipient of the payment?

Unfortunately it sounds like a scam site, when I did mine on the .gov site I only made the one payment.

Ring up and check? You did make sure that you were on the official Gov website and not some service website?

Oh you are having such a nightmare! I have no advice.
