Halifax bank to Lloyds

I've been using the Lloyd's app for a week now and all seems fine
We haven't received new cards, though.

I’ve been with them all since the system changed in 2013.
I remember changing in the old system 😩

My message tells me that everything remains the same and I won’t get a new card! I’ve not bitten the bullet yet!

I have been with Lloyds since they combined with TSB who I had been with since Adam was a lad.
Still the same branch building although sadly that has now closed but absolutely no problems with them at all.

aren't they both the same ban now?

Halifax and Bank of Scotland are part of the Lloyds Group although they are not jettisoning the Halifax name. TSB was once with Lloyds but is no longer.

We are moving our money elsewhere. We have been Lloyds customers in the past and have no intention of returning to them.

I’ve just taken out a Lloyds credit card. No fee to pay and provided you pay off your bill every month you earn 1% on all payments for the first year. I think it’s a good deal. So far using the card has been smooth.

I ve been with Lloyds since 1976, never ever had a problem and they were very helpful when I had a fraud problem on my credit card recently. I caught it quickly as I check my account online most weeks, so the fraudsters were at the stage of just a little bit out before they went for the biggy. The little bit was paid back by Lloyds straight away.

Pleased to know that the changeover should be simple.

We changed from Lloyds some years ago due to poor service and opened current accounts with Halifax where we had a savings account. Then Lloyds/Bank of Scotland took over the Halifax and now we're having to go back to Lloyds. To be honest, I don't want to but the options are limited with so many bank branches closing.

One of those cases of being forced to do something you don't want to.

Been with Lloyd all my married life plus had accounts at the Halifax. Never had a problem with either, I was aware they have been the same Banking group for several years.

In fact Halifax pinged up a fraudulent attempted on my cash Card, I was impressed and grateful they recognised as it was significantly out of the norm.

When I worked as a Home Advisor for Age Concern(as was). Whenever any one had problems with their banking and the operation of their bank accounts and the problem could not be resolved quickly with a bit of help, the bank involved was always Lloyds.

I've only ever banked with Lloyds and in all those years, I've only had one problem with them, which they sorted out immediately. I find the app very easy to use, it helped me to organise my finances so I could pay my mortgage off earlier.

Personally, I think its a waste of money. Especially as the actual branches will be refitted at some point. And it will annoy people.

I’ve had an email from Halifax saying they’ll tell me when to download the Lloyds Bank App to change over. Nothing as yet though.

I have had my ' invitation ' to move from Halfax to Lloyd's. Thanks karmalady, for some reason I am provaricating! I dont like change,but like you I will bite the bullet very soon.

I downloaded the Lloyds app a few weeks ago in readiness. Then a couple of weekends ago I decided to try and see if the changeover was ‘live’ as the opening page to the Halifax app was indicating with an arrow about the forthcoming changeover.
I hadn’t received the email but clicked on the Lloyds app- which was obviously expecting me 😂 as it stated something along the lines of completing the changeover, so I followed the v basic instructions figuring it might be less busy to do it early rather than wait until the email arrived/ or October (5th being when Halifax banking ceases). As has been said above thread, very easy and seamless to do. All accounts/ DD’s payments pending/apple pay etc transferred across in seconds.
Not expecting new cards as present ones don’t expire until 2029.
I moved the Halifax app into another folder and once I’d bought a few things online to check the Lloyds app was working ok, I tapped the Halifax app- nothing really happened apart from a msg saying it wouldn’t work anymore as had transferred to Lloyds.
Tbh I was surprised at the simplicity of it all and how quickly it was completed.
