Warwickshire meet up

Hello,

We will be meeting on Friday 19th July at Carluccio's, I will be there just after 12 and hopefully secure us a table. There may be 5 of us but any extra will be a lovely bonus. Looking forward to meeting some new faces. Message me if you need any other info.

Oh lovely Gracesmum ... it was Stratford River Festival as well over this weekend 6/7th that is besides Shipston Proms which I help run and our last night was brilliant and hot ie the weather. A perfect time for that visit ... Yes

Hope you all have a lovely time on 19th. In Stratford today to see the Jonathan Slinger "Hamlet"(me) and "Titus Andronicus" (DH) at RSC and supper at Carluccio's with DDs, SILs and friends and I thought of you all and hope the weather is as gorgeous as it was today! Stratford was truly "en fete" in the glorious sunshine - a totally holiday atmosphere.
One of those "golden days" to treasure.

I might be able to, depending on what time is arranged. Can I be a "maybe" at this stage?

19th/20 sounds good but as I do not drive evenings will be out for me last bus home is 6.25 pm.

Aka asked if daytime or evening. I think evening would be quite nice, while we still have some lovely light evenings to sit outside. If we chose Carluccio's on Waterside in Stratford then we have the option to sit in or out if the weather changes. Apart from a couple of evenings I can be quite flexible. I will fire some dates out and see what you all think. Thursday or Friday evening 11th/12th July or 19th/20th July. How do any of these sound?

Are we talking daytime or evening meet up?

Weekdays are easier for me but I might be able to do a weekend, depending when it is.

Okay as there are a few of us keen to meet up I need to ask would it be better for a weekend meet up. I know some of us care for our grandchildren so would need to make arrangements if it's to be in the week. We have the River Festival coming up in Stratford the weekend of the 6th/7th July which will be lovely but very busy. Thoughts please.

Nana2TVJ, I can't think of anywhere around here really, south of the county is much better served for nice places than the north unfortunately. I'd be happy to drive to Kenilworth or Leamington Spa, or Stratford at a push (though couldn't stay long if Stratford as I have to get back for the dog and it's probably getting on for an hour's drive). it would be nice to meet others though so whatever is decided I'll see if I can make it.

I have been reading this thread with interest as I live near Stratford upon Avon too and may have answer to parking problem as they have built Stratford Parkway station before old station you can park there and use half hourly train into town .... much more visitor friendly.
I hope this solves the problem for many and I would be happy to meet ... let me know what you think.

Great sounds like a few of us are free to meet up. Will put a couple of dates together and see what suits. Maybe we could start thinking about a location or two. MrsSB I'm not too familiar with the North of the county but let me know if there is somewhere you have in mind. We have another grandparent who doesn't use the site who would also like to meet us.

I'd be up for another get together too.

I am in the West Midlands and have some holidays/week-ends booked for July but if able to would like to attend and meet-up.

I'm pretty free during July at the moment and would be interested in meeting up. However, I'm not sure I could travel too far, I'm in North Warks, near Bedworth/Nuneaton. It depends where the get together is planned to take place for me.

Time to meet up again. Let me know who is free early July. I know holidays will be looming but maybe we could grab a cup of tea and cake, with or without our grandchildren.

Lovely first meet up for Gransnet Local Warwickshire. Met 2 great ladies and 1 granddaughter. The time went really quickly and had lots to chat about. Hope we can meet again soon and look forward to welcoming some more new faces.

That's a shame, but we will keep trying.

I am pinning the date down to the 22nd May now and have one def. joining me, hope we will have some others.

Would love to come but will be away for just those same 2 days and I cannot change it as it is to something specific to those dates.

Looking at meeting at The Crabmill, Preston Bagot on either May 22nd or 23rd for lunch time drink/snacks. Let me know who's free on either dates.

Any more thoughts on who would like to meet up and favoured area?
