I need to confirm our booking next week, so can you let me know if you still intend to come, please? They have a wedding on as well, so want to be sure of approximate numbers. (The wedding is in a separate room!)

I'm afraid I'll have to pull out. My latest travels have left me very nervous of travelling. Also I might be needed for my dd who is due to deliver that weekend!.
The silly girl is insisting on a home delivery in spite of her age and complications in the last pregnancy with an abnormal lie! Baby is lying back to back with her as was the last one, necessitating ventouse and forceps!

Oh Galen I do understand, but will be so sorry not to meet you.
My last two babies (both boys) were back to back and although I delivered them unaided by forceps it was jolly hard work and very painful.

I'm really looking forward to meeting up next week. The direct route from here to Exeter is closed due to roadworks and I don't know how long the diversion will take, so I'll err on the side of caution and probably wander along the river for a while if I arrive too early.

Everyone OK for Friday? I am looking forward to it SO much.

Me too! All well here, catching an early train to avoid a long wait in Castle Cary, so will have a mooch around. Anyone else coming from this direction (train is London to Exeter)?

The line from Barnstaple to Exeter is currently using buses in some places....

Theseus is sometimes truly wonderful! He says he'll drive me to Exeter, but I'll come back by train. Am about to pm you all with my mobile number etc.
