Anyone from the far North?

Dotsmam Wed 11-Mar-15 21:52:20

smileI am down in Inverness quite often so am definitely up for meeting up for a cuppa and a breather! I discovered Simpson's Garden Centre when I was having my radiotherapy last year and really recommend it but can tootle doon to Baxters as well. Glad I joined up now!!

Katek Wed 11-Mar-15 22:04:53

Simpsons is lovely....wonder if Posie can get up to Inverness??

Dotsmam Wed 11-Mar-15 22:06:36

On another topic I am getting a bit lost with the initials. He and vs I realise is granddaughter and grandson but what is Dd and ds for example? confused

Dotsmam Wed 11-Mar-15 22:09:29

I hate driving in Inverness but can hop on the train quite happily to meet up. I don't work on Tuesdays Thursday s and weekends (and school holidays) so the world is almost oyster!

Yes, I think I could manage Inverness. smile Dotsmam if you look at top of the page you'll see "Active", "I'm on", etc., & to the right you'll see Acronyms which will explain all the abbreviations.

Thistledoo Fri 13-Mar-15 18:42:37

Oooooh, this all sounds wonderful, a meet up in Inverness, Simpsons is grat for coffee cake or even lunch. Count me in.

Dotsmam Fri 13-Mar-15 20:36:53

We need to work out a date - preferably before lambing!!

Katek Fri 13-Mar-15 21:06:27

Is April too soon?

Dotsmam Sat 21-Mar-15 06:33:58

Got the first fortnight in April off work so should be able to sneak off for the day.

Katek Thu 26-Mar-15 23:42:48

I'm up in Nairn from Friday 17th to Sun 19th....any good for anyone??

posie Fri 27-Mar-15 11:06:23

I can't do Fri 17th, but could do 18th or 19th smile

Katek Fri 27-Mar-15 12:22:07

Dotsmam, Thistledoo, any good for you?

Dotsmam Mon 30-Mar-15 18:30:17

Well I would have been available BUT the flaming has started 3 weeks early!! There must be a tup disguised as a ewe amongst the Shetlanders! Aaaaah!!

Katek Mon 30-Mar-15 19:57:45

Sneaky devil....what was his disguise?!?

Dotsmam Mon 30-Mar-15 20:35:53

He was a ram in sheep's clothing!
Iain has three weeks holidays to cover the lambiing starting just after my Easter holidays but at this rate the worst will be over so I am not sure that it was not a cunning plan on his part! Hahaha.

Katek Mon 30-Mar-15 22:07:20

Thought the glasses and moustache might have given him away! (The ram that is, not your DH!)

posie Tue 31-Mar-15 11:10:02

That's a shame Dotsmam, sounds like you won't be able to make it then?

Dotsmam Thu 02-Apr-15 23:52:14

No I think that I will be spending the holidays in a field! I will catch you all at the next meeting though! You can have an extra slice of cake for me! X

Can I revive this thread? I am north of Inverness and would love to meet up with other gransnetters.

Katek Tue 29-Mar-16 22:16:22

I'm often in Nairn or Inverness - would that be any use for a meet up next time I'm up visiting the dgs?
