In May? Some of us have been throwing a few ideas around. I can get a bus to Leicester [although I don't know the place very well]. Are there and dates/venues etc that would suit various people?

Teetime Fri 03-Apr-15 08:59:59

19th is fine- looking forward to it. where are we meeting?

Tegan Thu 02-Apr-15 15:40:42

kitty can't do 21st. How about 19th?

Teetime Thu 02-Apr-15 14:52:56

oops sorry am away from 8th to 16th May. can do 19th or 21st - any good?

Tegan Thu 02-Apr-15 13:22:26

Second week in May then; any takers?

Teetime Thu 02-Apr-15 07:59:45

Oh except for first week in May!!! smile

Teetime Thu 02-Apr-15 07:59:15

I'm fairly flexible.

Tegan Wed 01-Apr-15 17:10:42

Great; so, are there any dates that suit everybody? Then, in August we'll know the place so well we can give pompa a guided tour.

Teetime Wed 01-Apr-15 16:41:37

I could come.

pompa Wed 01-Apr-15 13:26:13

I'd rather not, our visit in April is to look after our GC over the school holidays, we won't know whether we will be free until we arrive. August will be easier as we are only cat sitting.

Tegan Wed 01-Apr-15 12:37:06

How about pompa setting a date for when he's there but a few of us also doing an exploratory visit at the start of the month [albeit with the possiblity of me getting lost en route having not used the shuttle bus before]? Again exluding 6,11,21,23 and 26th.

pompa Tue 31-Mar-15 16:41:36

Yes that would be great.

Tegan Tue 31-Mar-15 16:17:37

Did you want to do the Cathedral bit pompa?

pompa Tue 31-Mar-15 15:56:46

We shall be in Narborough last week in May and again in August, so may be able to meet some of you.

kittylester Fri 27-Mar-15 19:37:01

Not as far as I know but there is a website. The Cathedral and jubilee square looked amazing tonight on East Mids Today with loads of candles and lights!

Tegan Fri 27-Mar-15 19:28:51

Do you have to book in advance to see any of the Richard III stuff?

J52 Fri 27-Mar-15 18:59:33

I'm happy to fit in with chosen date, as I said 'bendy' - sorry flexible! x

Tegan Fri 27-Mar-15 17:06:06

What date would suit you? Excluding 6th, 11th,23th,21st or 26th [I don't think I've missed any dates out]. If granjura was around in late May I reckon kitty and I could venture forth again [any excuse].

Nelliemoser Fri 27-Mar-15 16:43:30

A Leicester city centre map to orient you all.

I would prefer the middle of the month as my DGC2 is due on the 24th and I may need to go off to look after DGC1.
You will have to go with the date most of you can make in the end.

Tegan Fri 27-Mar-15 13:02:58

2nd half of the month would probably be better anyway [gives us more time to get organised]. 26th is my sons birthday so probably need to rule that out.

granjura Fri 27-Mar-15 12:58:26

I suppose it would be me traveling the furthest- but might not be able to make it at all anyhow, so don't worry about me. If the date is in the 2nd part of May, I might be able to join you (as my visit to UK has to fit in with DDs and GCs). See how it goes.

kittylester Fri 27-Mar-15 12:55:40

I can't do 11th or 21st and 13th would be problematic.

Tegan Fri 27-Mar-15 11:39:53

I can't do 6th May. Apart from that May is totally free.

Tegan Fri 27-Mar-15 11:30:18

We need to choose a date that fits in with those who have to travel the furthest as kitty and I can be more flexible.

J52 Fri 27-Mar-15 10:56:32

The Cathedral and exhibition is only a few yards from Highcross shopping area and a straightforward, short walk from the station. x

My credit card is getting sooo excited by all this; has never had a day out all by itself before grin.
