Is anyone interested (preferably someone with a car and a spare seat!) in getting there the previous day and going up to Knapdale to see the beaver site? There is a guided tour at 6 pm each day. It sounds as though that could be a good time to see them. virtual guided tour here that shows the kind of paths.

Important note - no cafe or toilets! So a packed tea and a comfort stop en route would be necessary.

I don't know how long the trip from Inverary to Bellanoch (the turn-off) would be. Do the Argyll grans have any info?

Not by putting it on a dozen different threads! Could be an April-Fool-type thing, which whitewave will reveal later, could be an SOS of some kind (feeling ill and can only tap on a key and hope to be noticed? though that would be a random key) could be some hacker or other who finds it amusing.

April Fool-type pranks not really whitewave's style, though...

Righty-ho. That's seven definites and one maybe so far. There's plenty of time for other people to decide. I just thought I'd get this thread started while it was hot off the block.

Sorry I'm not going to manage the visit to Inveraray as the month of August is when all and sundry visit this grannies homeland. Our grandchildren from North of the border come for a fortnight and we also have other family visitors dropping in throughout the month. I hope you all have a smashing time and I'll look forward to hearing how you enjoy this time together.

I can't manage that date but am also scared of potential bunkhouse stay!
