...some of us are keen to have another meet up. I think the art gallery was a good place, especially now it has been re vamped. I'm away on and off quite a lot over the next couple of months, but if any of the 'locals' arrange something I'll do my best to fit in. The good thing about the art gallery is that there's no need to book a table so numbers can be more flexible.

Perhaps a new thread needs to be started?

I will see what date anyone can do. How do we get this discussion to the Active page? It's a bit lost here!

NannyJan53 Sun 04-Feb-18 11:57:06

Lets try some more dates? I am free any day w/c 12th February except for Thursday 15th. The Art Gallery Café was a good place last time, unless anyone has any other suggestions?

This seems to have stalled...

NannyJan53 Tue 09-Jan-18 11:48:34

I have an Audiology appointment now on 22nd, but any other day that week is fine for me.

For some reason this hasn't gone over to the active discussions...

Happy New Year Nannyjan and all! January is creeping on...I still have the awful virus but hope it will be gone soon. Perhaps someone could suggest a date and we can see if we can work round it. Week beginning 22 Jan sounds ok for me, depending on the day and time.

NannyJan53 Fri 05-Jan-18 07:55:10

Good Morning and Happy New Year to you all!

Thought I would bump this up so we can try and arrange a meet up soon, either this month or February?

I am free any day week commencing 22nd January or week commencing 19th February?

Blinko Mon 06-Nov-17 18:50:29

Do we have a date in January for the B'ham meet up?

Elrel Mon 06-Nov-17 15:04:49

Pensionpat - what a wonderful thing you're doing!

Tegan2 Mon 06-Nov-17 13:01:38

Yes; I'd like to make the January meet up if possible. May go to Brum on Sunday to do some family research; the cemetery where the family mausoleum is give tours once a month and they were very helpful when I tried to locate the grave. I may have left Brum a long long time ago, but I get very emotional about the place.

NannyJan53 Mon 06-Nov-17 09:35:04

Early January is good for me too.

Blinko Wed 01-Nov-17 16:06:55

Early January is fine by me...

Elrel. Anyone who can get to Rugeley is welcome. I got the idea from Granny23 two years ago and it is very successful. We have a mountain of donated toys, games and books. We operate for a month before C'mas. No price tickets. People pay what they can afford, and what is fair. The aim is to ease the financial pressure at a costly time. We were staggered to raise £2000 last tear. We donated it to Food Bank. This year we hope to do even better. We raised funds to buy brand new toys too. We are just gearing up and getting excited as openi g day approaches.

pensionpat - anywhere we can come and buy things?

If people want a December meet up I'll try to get there. Mid January does tend to be a bit of a dreary time so a meet up then might be a needed boost!

pensionpat Fri 27-Oct-17 07:58:35

January would be better for me. I run a charity stall for the whole of December.

NannyJan53 Fri 27-Oct-17 07:34:52

You are right Tea and Cake, January may be better now? All those sales smile

Tea and cake Tue 24-Oct-17 16:36:00

Only thing is that town will be heaving in mid December...

Blinko Tue 24-Oct-17 15:57:25

Elrel, that reading support sounds just lovely. I guess you'll get to see the panto and join in everything Christmassy. Gorgeous!

Blinko Tue 24-Oct-17 15:55:06

Hi Everyone - are we looking at December now? I'm pretty busy in the first half but believe it or not, not a sausage in the calendar for the week in the run up to Chr.....s. I'm happy to fit in if I can with whatever date comes to the top of the list.

Elrel Mon 23-Oct-17 13:20:54

I was sorry not to be able to join you. How lovely to meet HelloBaby's new GD! The German Market sounds a good idea.
I can't manage Tuesdays or Wednesdays at present. I'm enjoying giving 1:1 reading support in an infant school with Beanstalk.

Anya Mon 23-Oct-17 12:57:18

The German Market?

frand Mon 23-Oct-17 10:53:33

What about a meet in Grand Central,(New Street Station) I have eaten in Carluccio's upstairs, and it is excellent. Plenty of others further along to choose from.

Blinko Wed 11-Oct-17 18:09:34

Great to see Tea and Cake and NannyJan53, and a surprise drop in by HelloBaby complete with newest DGD. Very cute!

Tea and cake Wed 11-Oct-17 14:21:27

Lovely to meet you too NannyJan and Blinko and HelloBaby (hope I've got your name right!), even though the whole of Birmingham was one huge building site!! See you at next meet up, hopefully, and will look out for your posts ?
