I`d love to come, but I`m only in Boston, and the train fare is over £63, so I really can`t afford it, pity.

That's a pity Number, I don't suppose meting in Knings Lynn would be any easier - everywhere is a long way from anywhere around here!

I did try once before to meet downtoearth, in her Nellie days, in Kings Lynn, but the trains are stupid. It takes about 45 minutes to get to Kings Lynn from here by car, yet to go by train I`d have to go all the way down to Ely, then change for Kings Lynn, and it took about 3 hours, and nearly £40 fare. Thee aren`t many of us in or near Boston, and nobody seems to want a meet up.

I can do kngs lynn if easier

If there was a through train, but they don`t exist anymore, do they, I`d come like a shot, but getting around stations to different platforms is getting more and more difficult, so regretfully I have to say no. If hubby was safe to drive I`d get him to bring me, (under duress!) but he`s not a fit driver lately, although he thinks he is.

Boston doesn't look far on the map - but it's a good three hours from Norwich by car. It's an appalling road.

I could do Thetford, especially now the A11 is no longer a nightmare.

welcome Annaleise several of us Norfolk grans have recently met in November which was very enjoyable. snowdrop is also a new gran who has mentioned a meet up,and I believe one has been suggested for early 2016 but has yet to be arranged...check the thread "is anybody there" on the local forum(sorry cant do links) hope to meet up with you soonx
