Hello Hypericum. If you look on the later thread also entitled Meet up in Reading you will see that there is another gathering on Monday 10th April at Pat Val in Broad Street. It would be lovely if you could join us.

Greenfinch
Wondering if you are likely to organise a meetup in the near future in Reading or Oxford?

Morning Greenfinch and all the other GN's at the meet up in Reading yesterday, it was lovely to see you all, and nice to meet GdnGuru and Dustyangel. Thanks for arranging it Greenfinch, and apologies for my tardy response. Pat Val was a good choice.

GdnGuru246 I'll let you know how we get on with the consultant tomorrow.

Sorry I was late every one! I had a lovely time at the meet up and it was good to meet GdnGuru246 and Auntie Flo. Definitely a good choice of restaurant. smile

10.30 ish . I popped in there today to get the lie of the land.
I found a large round table with a semi circular seat that would be just right for the size of our group so I asked the garçon if we could reserve it.He didn't see a problem and would ask his manager. It remains to be seen if we are successful.

GdnGuru246 Thu 13-Oct-16 19:11:27

Forgot to ask - what time at Pat Vals?

Greenfinch Wed 12-Oct-16 21:43:38

Sorry you won't be able to make it Cass.We can't predict funerals and they have to take priority. There is no reason why we can't have another meet up before Christmas. Watch this space.

Cass1950 Wed 12-Oct-16 13:11:30

Was really looking forward to meeting up next week, (my first time) but sadly have a funeral to attend. Will there be another one before Christmas?

Greenfinch Wed 12-Oct-16 06:54:58

Now there are seven. Lovely!???

Please do join us.It will be lovely to meet you.I hope your husband is responding well to his treatment . Take care of yourself as well.

GdnGuru246 Tue 11-Oct-16 18:31:35

Hello - just resurfacing after heaps of weeks helping my husband through his cancer treatment and would love to join in a Reading group meet-up if it's not too late....

Thanks for the suggestion Greenfinch.

Greenfinch Tue 11-Oct-16 18:12:00

If you area skinflint like me you could think about joining the Patisserie Valerie cake club. Take a look a their website. You get10% off your first order and a cupcake on your birthday. Not much but every little helps as they say.

Greenfinch Mon 10-Oct-16 15:54:09

Just to remind everyone about Wednesday 19th at Patisserie Valerie. There should be 6 of us which will be lovely but we still have room for more if anybody is lurking .

Auntieflo Tue 04-Oct-16 09:12:19

Wonderful, see you there on the 19th. Thanks Greenfinch.

Greenfinch Tue 04-Oct-16 06:52:39

I hope everyone is still OK for the meet up in Reading on 19th October.Because of a poor experience at John Lewis we have decided to try Patisserie Valerie instead. It is in Broad Street very near JL and right by the entrance to The Oracle. So perfect for those walking up from the station or the bus.See you all there.

He's still at preschool but SIL thinks he is going to be getting home early enough on Wednesdays to pick him and his brother up.

Greenfinch Thu 08-Sept-16 21:45:38

Deedaa Thu 08-Sept-16 21:25:00

Hopefully at the moment. My busy social schedule ( grin ) seems empty at the moment.
