Wirral and Liverpool members?

Hi GrannyA I am definitely interested. Live in Wirral and would love to hear from any other Gransnetters in the area. It would be great to have a group similar to the one in Chester, meeting up for cake, chat etc. Hope others will join with that in mind.

I'd really like to do this. I'm a Nanna in waiting(3 weeks). If meet ups are arranged can we bring a grandchild or will it be adults only.

I was initially thinking a meet up without grandchildren as I know I'd find it hard to chat if I was minding my Dgd who is nearly 2! We could always arrange another meet up with the go in a park in the warmer weather perhaps ?

Thought I'd suggest a couple of dates and see if people are free and interested in the meet up. The names below are people I know live locally although not sure who is free in the day time. Apologies if I've missed anyone - I'm on my iPad and flicking back and forth between threads to copy names it's easy to miss someone.

There is a garden centre in Port Sunlight which is 5 minutes walk from the train station and for drivers the garden centre has a big car park. The cafe area is fairly big.

So anyone up for a Wednesday or Thursday meet 19 or 20 April or 3rd or 4th May? Around 10.30 before it get full up for lunch might be good.

If anyone has grandchildren that day do bring them with you rather than miss out. I won't have mine with me as at nearly 2 I'd never get the chance to chat if she was with me!!!

Hi GrannyA11i just made a really huge decision that I must get on with my life and not put up with the abuse from my daughter. I live in Haydock but would be glad to meet up with lots of others and perhaps have a coffee and cake morning, look at cinema or art exhibition outings. Just really want to make new friends as I keep in touch with those i worked with to a degree but sadly 5 of my friends have passed away and it is so hard to start again but it must be done

I'm really sorry but I will have to cancel. I look after my DGD and on 4th May her school is being used as a Polling Station which means she will be with me all day. Please let me know when you have the next one.

Hi Marylane - can you get over to the Wirral for our meet up? It's very near the train station. It's more difficult for me to arrange a Liverpool venue as I live on wirral. Ideally I think there should be separate sites for Liverpool and Wirral as although attractions are useful to both, all the little local events probably won't appeal to people on the opposite side of the Mersey.

But having said that anyone from liverpoool is very welcome at our meet up!

Meet up this morning - lovely day for it!

Hi ladies can I pass on my best wishes for a fab meet up to-day,I am here in New Brighton over looking the River on this lovely day but cannot get to your meetup due to the fact I have only last week moved into a new bungalow and am still getting myself straight (where does all the stuff come from)?
I will be able to get to the next one hopefully and look forward to it,even though I have been a GNer since day one I have never been able to get away for a meetup mainly due to work and family commitments but will have much more free time once this move is sorted enjoy yourselves and have loads of cake and coffee xxx
