Does anyone in the south east want to meet up in blue water and incorporate a shopping trip at the same time? It's pretty central to anywhere in the Area and many people do travel from miles Around because there are so many good shops, inc JLewis.

I too live in Essex and would like to meet up with you if I can that day. I'm very lonely where I live so would be nice to have some good company for a change. Must remember a small book to tuck under my arm !!

I love that idea, a small book it is - looking forward to seeing you .

Selborne Wed 15-Feb-17 07:12:15

Hello everybody. 11:30 on 16th sounds perfect. Considering the location, how about we all carry a small paperback book? Looking forward to meeting everybody.

Hi IIuvcruz. I'm new to this but I'll try to find you! Lol.

I live in dartford so not far. I am not sure where the others who have responded and are coming to bluewater live, however if you want to join us you are more than welcome. 16 th march 11.30 in waterstones coffee shop at bluewater.
As most people who responded to the Kent group seemed to live at or towards the coast would be pleased to meet you.

I'm not really that local to you iluvcruz , I'm in Essex.

Hi all. I'm not sure where you are all based but as you are planning to meet in Bluewater I assume you are fairly Local.

I have just taken over the Local gransnet site for Bromley and surrounding areas and hope to find other Local grans for meet and greets. Drop by the Local site and say hello!

NanaandGrampy Mon 13-Feb-17 22:38:28

Maybe a red carnation and a copy of The Times lol

NanaandGrampy Mon 13-Feb-17 22:38:02

Perfect !

silverlining48 Mon 13-Feb-17 22:34:07

Yes perhaps as the 16 th seems to suit we should make it then. Shall we say 11,30 in waterstones cafe, bluewater. Assume it wont be so busy that we cant find each other??? Maybe we should wear something purple, or a red hat.....

If anyone else wants to join us they would be most welcome. Looking forward to meeting up

sweetpea Mon 13-Feb-17 22:23:05

Hi everyone, yes the 16 March is okay for me and Waterstones will be good too! Could we meet in the morning? I may need to be back home to collect GC from school. Look forward to meeting you all. ?

NanaandGrampy Mon 13-Feb-17 20:51:40

Me too smile

silverlining48 Mon 13-Feb-17 20:39:26

Well the 16 th is ok with me too, so thats 3 of us so far and if waterstones is alright too, we are on our way. Will pencil the date in.....

NanaandGrampy Mon 13-Feb-17 19:59:51

Yes I know the Costa in Waterstones .

Selborne Mon 13-Feb-17 19:49:41

Looking at NanaandGrampy's suggested dates, 16th would be best for me but I can be flexible if that doesn't suit everybody else. Meeting at Costa in Waterstones is a good idea Silverlining48.

silverlining48 Mon 13-Feb-17 19:07:27

Yes probab,ly late morning would work and give time for a spot of shopping if wanted.
On ce we hear from sweatpea , selborne and nina thena we can settle on a day and time. Thought unless anyone has a better idea, maybe waterstones might be less busy, in their cafe upstairs via the shop.

NanaandGrampy Mon 13-Feb-17 18:10:42

I can make the 16th, 22nd and the 24th .

Could we make it morning or early afternoon? The tunnel is a nightmare once it hits 4pm and queueing for ages to get home takes the shine off a visit smile

silverlining48 Mon 13-Feb-17 16:59:42

Shall i suggest a couple of dates to meet, probably easier than writing to everyone individually so we can all respond and see where we go from here.
as one of us cant make the first two weeks of march how about either weds thurs or fri 15 th 16 th or 17 th, or the following week same days 22 , 23 or 24 March.
Maybe too much choice but its a start. If i can say i woukd really prefer the thursday friday options...but can do wednesdays if necessary.
Would be really nice to meet up and as bluewater draws shoppers from far afield hope a few of you will be able to make it.

Selborne Sat 11-Feb-17 22:56:10

Hello. I have just joined and would be pleased to join you in Bluewater if I haven't missed the event.

sweetpea Mon 09-Jan-17 19:14:09

Only just seen your message! Would love to join you, and late February would be great, though I am away from the 25th for a week. Hope something can be arranged.
?

silverlining48 Sun 18-Dec-16 17:44:55

yes nana will look forward to meeting you in february. Probably later on in the month would suit me and give any ithers time to express any interest. can decide later.

NanaandGrampy Sun 18-Dec-16 17:33:01

Feb would be great for me too

silverlining48 Sun 18-Dec-16 14:11:02

Hi Nina good to hear you may be able to make sometime in februAry. Not sure how these things work but assume when/ if anyone else shows interest we decide on a convenient date, place and time. I have suggested mid or end Feb as I cant make most of January....
