I had a great meet up today with three other gransnetters in Preston. We met in a cafe and spent a lovely couple of hours chatting. We talked on many different topics, found lots in common and got on really well. So much so that we're having another meet up Thursday May 18th, 12 o'clock at Barton Grange garden centre near Garstang for lunch this time! Other grans are welcome to join, just message on here.

Ha ha ruby hope the plans for your op go ahead this time. All my best wishes.
Babs we have the date July 6th in our diaries and The Continental pub in Preston was the suggested venue. Some who came last time are away but I plan to go. We have made a facebook group but it would be good to post on this thread too so that we can confirm a time.

seasider Thu 29-Jun-17 19:07:21

Hi Nana. Have posted on Facebook but no replies. Is the Continental still the venue? Do we need to book . Anybody else like to join us?

carol257 Thu 29-Jun-17 20:50:16

Hi all

I have posted on Facebook.....the Continental was suggested at last meeting and I am more than happy to meet there. Don't think we need to book. Shall we say 12oc ☺

Nana3 Fri 30-Jun-17 06:57:34

12 o'clock sounds good to me. Looking forward to seeing you all.
The Contintal is tricky to find however. Keep driving up Broadgate till you get to their brown sign (turn left) then it's right turns till you get there. They have a car park.

seasider Sat 01-Jul-17 00:26:30

Ok see you there!

Nana3 Wed 05-Jul-17 22:23:07

Babs hope you can make it tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Nana3 Thu 06-Jul-17 22:52:05

Thanks for a lovely time at our meet up mazza and seasider . Another sunny day for us to enjoy lunch in the garden and such good company too. I had to eat a massive bowl of pasta for tea though after that delicious but tiny salad.
I'm already looking forward to next time.

seasider Fri 07-Jul-17 00:47:19

Hi Nana. Lovely lunch in the sun and good company. smile

mazza245 Fri 07-Jul-17 22:48:13

Lovely to meet Nana3 and Seasider yesterday, pity there were just the chosen few of us. It would be lovely to see many more people next time, hopefully we pick a more convenient day for everyone. I had to have a small salad again for tea! Still, made up for it today.

Hi
I'm relatively new to the site and would love to join in with one of the North West meet-ups. I live in Wigan so quite handy for most places oop North smile

Nana3 Wed 12-Jul-17 17:54:07

You would be very welcome middlewoman. We don't have a date yet, would someone like to suggest one?

mazza245 Sun 16-Jul-17 11:42:46

Do you think September when the holiday season might be over with? Preferably not a Monday or Tuesday for me but otherwise, I'm free!!!

carol257 Mon 17-Jul-17 10:58:32

Seems like a good idea, although I am away 1st week, but if I can make it I will ?

seasider Wed 19-Jul-17 22:57:38

Hi September good for me. I am away until the 5th. Wednesday or Thursday are the best days for me but I can do other days with a bit of notice. We need to think of a good place to meet. Maybe somewhere just off a main rd/motorway that is easy to find.
