I heard him too when I was a student - in Newcastle ages ago.
I have to rely on youtube now - my current favourite is early Wynton Marsalis.eg

Not sure Chris Barber will be here a next time, dunit he is getting on a bit. He used to play sometimes at the Students Union in 1960 - those were the days! Pre-Beatles.

Does anyone within reach of Edinburgh fancy joining me at a Chris Barber concert (yes, at 87 he is still alive and playing) in West Princes Street Gardens Spiegeltent on Sun Jul 23 2:30 PM (4:30 PM)

Tickets are £22.50
