Hi, how is everyone? Keeping safe and well I hope. I had my covid vaccination today in Alnwick. It was extremely well organised and the staff and volunteers were really lovely. A step nearer to us all being able to meet up again I hope. Xx

I've never managed to meet you at Heighley Gate because I live at the wrong side of the river and had to give up driving last year.
But I was born and grew up in North'land and still have family there. A cousin is a sheep farmer at Otterburn.
Good idea to keep chatting online. Or an App group.

Thank you granjan15. Yes, I was very much looking forward to meeting you all today.
I'm going to have my hair cut tomorrow morning. I am now counting this as having a social life. . Later this evening Sainsbury's will be delivering my groceries. I never thought I'd get excited about shopping turning up. On a very positive note, I got my library card today and brought home three books. Wooler library has only recently opened again. I think they'll be seeing a lot of me in the weeks to come!

No I don’t think we can now. I think we would be breaking the rules rather than just ignoring guidelines, but it is all so confusing!
Just got back from Heighley Gate and the old Costa cafe is only serving takeaways now by the way.

It's exactly a year since we moved north and I came along to our first meeting.

We wouldn’t need to book into the cafe at Dobbies Heighley Gate. It’s just like it used to be except with fewer tables.
