Meet up . Westfield , Stratford, East London

Good morning, Westfield Group. Hope you all had a good weekend and are all well. If people have any ideas about visits or activities do let me know. I think meeting once a month is a great idea and we could also arrange some spin offs. Can anyone think of a good Christmas outing? Perhaps meeting to see the Christmas tree in Trafalgar square then going on for a meal.
Or a more local event.
Any ideas welcome.

A meeting near Trafalgar Square would suit me as a shorter journey than Stratford.
Chelsea Physic Garden was mentioned above, which is lovely in good weather but very expensive for lunch and not the easiest place to get to.

Trafalgar Sq sounds good, lots of places nearby to get a meal. St Martins church has a cafe / restaurant and is nearby for those of us who have to think about mobility.

At Westfield, Is John Lewis a fair distance from the tube or is it reasonably close?

Charleygirl, the John Lewis is at the other end of the shopping mall so it's about 10 mins walk from the underground station. Hope you will be able to manage it.

I'm curious. When you meet do you use real names or stick to GN names? I'd be very nervous to met others!

Pollyperkins, I went to my first meeting last month and was really nervous. I met 4 lovely ladies, who, it turned out had the same feelings. Everyone was so friendly, sharing bits of info about ourselves and having a laugh. In fact we stayed on and had lunch together. We gave our user names and our own names too.

I have often spent ages in department store coffee shops, looking enviously at groups of women enjoying a chat. Suddenly I found myself in the middle of one. I do hope you will come today. I will be wearing a bright red duffel coat and we have a sign on the table too. Just do what I did, enter looking a bit nervous and the love Loopyloo will take you under her wing.

For those of you going to the meeting today and read my post above, I should explain the name. I have had real trouble signing in under my old Flossie Turner name, but it seemed to accept this original , littleflo name
