Many thanks to everyone that came to Westfield and I hope you all got home safely. Sorry you could not make it, Franbern and Pollyperkins, hope to see you next time.
Thank you from me too. Yes, cakes, cats and dogs, food mixers, health, exercise, sexuality, wartime rationing, safeguarding, husbands, grandchildren etc. - the breadth of topics was amazing. And I only stayed for part of the time!!
Thank you all for coming! And we didn't talk about Brexit! How about a Christmas trip to Oxford Circus and meeting in John Lewis? Or even Liberty's How about Weds 13th December?
Christmas Meetup, Oxford Street, London , John Lewis. From 11 am weds 13th. Hi there, I don't think I will be able to get there until 12 due to DGD Christmas play. But others can get there at 11 that's fine of course! Might I suggest Christmas jumpers or tinsel or silly hats? .
I am just putting a reminder out about this to anyone who has never had the courage to come to these meet-ups before. Stupidly I was very nervous as I walked into the first meeting back in October. All of the 5 ladies were just so warm and friendly, and we chatted away about all sorts.
It was lovely to meet people of my own generation. Much of my life I have been caring for grandchildren and elderly parents and has let any social life disappear. We are of a variety of ages, some retired and some still working. If you can get to London, please come along and join us.
Hi Catterygirl, as Pittcity said we are still going strong. It's a lovely friendly group. Next meeting on Thursday 19 th July at 11am . The George is a nice pub opposite Wanstead underground (Central line). This station has escalators so access is easy and there is a car park too. We usually have coffee and a chat then lunch. We seem to post more under the thread "Redbridge meet up" Do come along , we are a friendly bunch!
