So how is the lovely borough of Redbridge these days? We bought our first house there up in Barkingside way for £13K in 1975.
I would probably not recognise the place these days .
we moved up to Cheshire in 1987 and are still here.
Have a good meet up.

Nellie I am going to walk down to see the block of flats we lived in in the early 80s. 1 bedroom, cost us £27K brand new. Now selling for over £350K! Couldn't afford to live here now as our large 4 bed detached in North Essex is worth about the same.

Pittcity We lived in Cheriton Avenue for 12 yrs from 1975 which was off Fullwell Avenue which ran up to a roundabout at the top of Barkingside High street. The area was very appropriately named Clayhall .

Our next Meet up is on March 15th, Thursday. I hope it will be warmer by then.!

Can I just say that these Meet ups are great . I have met some lovely interesting people and all I had to do was say a time and a place and along they came. Well worth having a go!

Just to say how lovely it was to have this meet-up, such interesting people. Very relaxed and enjoyable. And, just 10-15 minutes from home. Looking forward, already, to 15th March. Just to tell people there is a car park at the George, but it is £3.50 for three hours. Blue badges pay same as everyone else. However, buses pass the door and the underground is just opposite.

Hello , everyone. We are meeting on Thursday 15th March at 11am at the George, Wanstead, opposite Wanstead Underground station. There is parking at the George, £3.50 for 3 hours and other parking meters in the High Street. Not much free parking now the council have changed things.

Having once turned up at John Lewis instead of M&S for a meeting, I nearly went a week early this time. Fortunately I double checked the day before. I really do need a Minder. See you all NEXT week.
