So sorry Grandma2213. Mixed messages, I'm afraid. Nana3 was convinced you weren't able to make it today. Next time we'll organise it so much better.
We had a lovely lunch and mooch round Barton Grange north of Preston. Nana3 and Seasider bought me a beautiful orchid for my birthday, even though Seasider was at work and couldn't come! See proud photo. Thank you so much you two, how thoughtful!

Doh!!! Went to Malthouse! Still ... sat out in the sun for a while and 'chilled', a rare opportunity.

Luckylegs and I are meeting at Barton Grange today at 12.30, instead of the Malthouse as there is probably just the two of us and it is much nearer for us. Hopefully more will be able to come next meet up. Best wishes to everyone having difficult times.

We need to decide a venue. I think Botany Bay is the one most mentioned. I agree with luckylegs Bents is a long way if those from South Lancashire can't make it.

It is indeed several floors of shops and stalls and a bit of a garden centre. Personally I don't think the cafe is up to much and I don't know about the restaurant on the top floor as I've never tried it. I think the Malthouse is nicer but that's just my opinion.

Never been inside Botany Bay is it lots of little shops ? I suppose it will depend if our friend from St Helens is joining us ?

What do you mean by Botany Bay? Do you mean somewhere actually inside the place or the restaurant we went to previously? Are you, farview going to contact the person from St Helens way to make sure she's coming as we've organised a meet around people coming from further south a few times and only the usual suspects turned up! We could go somewhere completely different this time?

I can probably make it DGC permitting. More likely Botany Bay though, due to school runs!

So we are meeting on Wednesday 23 May then, that's decided. Yummy, my birthday could stretch over a few days! Who is going to decide then? If there are people who'd like to come we could go south or shall we just go for Huntleys or Botany Bay, I don't mind. Do we need a change of venue?

I'm fine to go with any of the venues, someone may have a preference and I can go along with that. Looking forward to it.

I think Bents was suggested for some of the GNs who live a little further South,or there's Botany bay,easily accessible for everyone! ?

I was rushing before and didnt read properly!! Of course, Huntleys is fine for me. Wednesday 23 May is the day before my birthday (big birthday!). Anyone fancy meeting up then? It's fine obviously if you all want to leave it later in June.

I haven't a clue yet where Bents is but I'm sure I can get there. Wednesdays good for me but before 9 June if poss?
