Hi all. It must be time for another North West meet up . Hopefully we won't be snowed off this time! I am looking for suggestions for a venue. We used to meet at a pub close to the Trafford Centre but we have also been to Bolton, Blackburn, Preston, Chorley, Lytham and Garstang so any suggestions welcome.

Guess everybody was busy ??

farview Mon 07-May-18 06:10:22

Thought Bents garden centre had been mentioned on the other NW thread! ?

Nana3 Mon 07-May-18 08:46:22

Good morning Seasider, yes I had busy family day yesterday.
That was me, I mentioned Bents, it's further south and I thought more people might be interested. If its the usual suspects who come we could meet at Huntley's again, that was good for us last time and not too bad for you I think farview.

farview Mon 07-May-18 21:21:23

Hmm Nana3 need to Google directions as have panic attacks driving on motorways!! Def cannot do Tues(volunteer hospice shop) Thurs (grandchildren) but would love to come, there were some ladies interested on the old threads also ?

Marybel Mon 07-May-18 21:45:34

Bents Garden Centre would be good for me.

seasider Wed 09-May-18 07:14:17

Just looked up Bents and its fine by me . There are a few meet ups in Chester so maybe some members from that area will join us too.

Nana3 Thu 10-May-18 23:12:04

We need a date now.

seasider Fri 11-May-18 00:12:07

I can't do the week commencing 4 June but otherwise Wednesdays or Thursdays are good for me .

farview Fri 11-May-18 08:48:18

Wednesday's good for me but can't do Thursdays ?

Luckylegs Fri 11-May-18 10:47:04

I haven't a clue yet where Bents is but I'm sure I can get there. Wednesdays good for me but before 9 June if poss?

Luckylegs Fri 11-May-18 14:31:40

I was rushing before and didnt read properly!! Of course, Huntleys is fine for me. Wednesday 23 May is the day before my birthday (big birthday!). Anyone fancy meeting up then? It's fine obviously if you all want to leave it later in June.

seasider Sat 12-May-18 00:08:09

A pre birthday bash sounds good to me !

Nana3 Sat 12-May-18 07:21:31

I'm fine for May 23rd and Huntley's is good for me.

seasider Sat 12-May-18 18:13:07

I am fine for the 23rd but have we opted for Bents or Huntleys?

farview Mon 14-May-18 06:19:27

I think Bents was suggested for some of the GNs who live a little further South,or there's Botany bay, easily accessible for everyone! ?

Nana3 Tue 15-May-18 08:44:04

I'm fine to go with any of the venues, someone may have a preference and I can go along with that. Looking forward to it.

Luckylegs Wed 16-May-18 09:56:51

So we are meeting on Wednesday 23 May then, that's decided. Yummy, my birthday could stretch over a few days! Who is going to decide then? If there are people who'd like to come we could go south or shall we just go for Huntleys or Botany Bay, I don't mind. Do we need a change of venue?

seasider Thu 17-May-18 23:17:41

I am.hoping to be there but may have to work . Will.let you know asap. I think the birthday girl should decide the venue !

farview Fri 18-May-18 14:42:06

Wed 23rd is good for me, wouldn't Botany bay be more accessible for everyone as think we have a lady from St Helens way brew

seasider Fri 18-May-18 22:13:43

I can.make the 23rd now and will go with the majority !

Grandma2213 Sat 19-May-18 00:47:44

I can probably make it DGC permitting. More likely Botany Bay though, due to school runs!

Luckylegs Sat 19-May-18 23:24:45

What do you mean by Botany Bay? Do you mean somewhere actually inside the place or the restaurant we went to previously? Are you, farview going to contact the person from St Helens way to make sure she's coming as we've organised a meet around people coming from further south a few times and only the usual suspects turned up! We could go somewhere completely different this time?

seasider Sat 19-May-18 23:36:21

Never been inside Botany Bay is it lots of little shops ? I suppose it will depend if our friend from St Helens is joining us ?

Grandma2213 Sun 20-May-18 02:08:54

It is indeed several floors of shops and stalls and a bit of a garden centre. Personally I don't think the cafe is up to much and I don't know about the restaurant on the top floor as I've never tried it. I think the Malthouse is nicer but that's just my opinion.
