Anyone interested in a meet up in Birmingham? Seems quite a while since the last one, but now the weather has brightened may be a good idea to see who is free.

Hello, new GNetter (and granny) here. This is my first post although I have been lurking for a while.

I live in Birmingham, love JL and would love to come and join you on 10th October.

Nannyjan- I like to think of myself as “vintage.”

NannyJan53 Thu 13-Sept-18 07:39:59

Yes, DoraMarr it will be lovely to meet you.

From a 'mature' lady grin

Hope to see you both there DoraMarr.

DoraMarr Wed 12-Sept-18 21:56:21

Thank you- I will try to make it. She will be quite happy if she can sit and draw.

Ha ha, thanks Blinko! ??

Blinko Wed 12-Sept-18 15:00:06

T&C grin you are just a youngster, anyway.

No problem for me, except being labelled (tongue in cheek of course) as an Old Lady! The concept doesn't exist in my world ? As long as she has lots of things to amuse her it will be good.

Blinko Wed 12-Sept-18 09:08:31

Hi Dora - it would be lovely to see you irl, as it were.

Would the little one be bored with a few old ladies shock nattering? Or maybe she would like the outing for a change? We have had the occasional baby turn up accompanying their Nan. Mind you, the conversation does rather tend to centre on the little ones.

No problem as far as I'm concerned anyway.

Good morning! I’m assuming these meetings are for adults only? I look after my 2yr old granddaughter on Wednesdays.

I have put 10 October in my diary and on the calendar and keeping fingers crossed nothing essential crops up that MUST be done then. All being well, see you all then at 11 in John Lewis. I will keep an eye on thread in case there are changes. Will let you know what I'm wearing nearer the time!

Blinko Tue 11-Sept-18 19:04:27

Let's see how many others could make 10th October then.

NannyJan53 Tue 11-Sept-18 18:43:43

10th October is ok for me too! grin

Tea and cake Tue 11-Sept-18 18:30:17

10 October sounds ok, at the moment ?

Nonnie Tue 11-Sept-18 15:53:49

At the moment those October dates are all good for me.

Blinko Tue 11-Sept-18 14:16:44

Might need to look at November, as suggested earlier.

Blinko Tue 11-Sept-18 14:15:48

You're right there, T&C smile I can only make 10th, 23rd or 31st of October... Any of those any good?

Tea and cake Tue 11-Sept-18 12:49:12

And I'm away last week in October. We all obviously are having too much of a good time!

NannyJan53 Tue 11-Sept-18 12:40:53

Ok Blinko last 2 weeks in October would be good for me. Obviously I will try to fit in with whatever date is decided, but I am away till 8th October!

Blinko Tue 11-Sept-18 12:02:01

Hi NJ, I tend to agree we should postpone till more can make it. I'll pm Elrel as she hasn't come back on this thread.

Blinko Fri 07-Sept-18 18:26:27

What about Elrel?

Blinko Fri 07-Sept-18 18:26:06

Good idea, NJ

NannyJan53 Fri 07-Sept-18 17:05:47

So just two of us? Would it be better to postpone date to October, so that more may be able to make it?

Nonnie Fri 07-Sept-18 17:00:18

Sorry, looks like I can't come after all, surprise visit from my cousin who lives abroad. Please PM me about the next one.

Tea and cake Wed 29-Aug-18 14:36:51

Oh dear, and now I find I can't make it after all. So sorry. I have to be elsewhere ? . A real pain because I was looking forward to it. It will have to be the next one - November? Before Christmas takes over?
